Happy Monday, lovelies! To kick off the Fourth of July week, we have the sweetest apple farm wedding to share, chock-full of fun red, white + blue details! After getting engaged in February and deciding on a September wedding, Kristin + Tristan were having a hard time finding a venue that felt right to them – and that was also available. After hearing about Riley’s Farm from Tristan’s parents, they looked it up online + fell in love with it instantly. Kristin called the farm the next day + booked the last date they had available for September. Meant to be for sure!  A bit more from Kristin about some elements from the day that were particularly special to her:

We never choose a theme or colors; we just used what we loved. Bringing in a lot of personal items from our homes, borrowed from our parents and friends, and family heirlooms made the day that much more special. Our invitations were one of the most fun projects we worked on for our wedding! Tristan and I hand wrote and designed them together, and had a custom stamp made with the artwork. We are SO happy with how they turned out. They are perfectly “us”. One of my favorite details was that my sister wore the dress our mother wore for her wedding to my dad in 1979. It’s simple and beautiful and we’ve always said we would wear it in each other’s weddings.

Kristin: The day went by too fast! There are some moments that are a blur, but then there are others that are so strong in my mind that I'll never forget them. The moment I walked down the aisle with my dad and saw Tristan for the first time is one I will tell our grandkids about. We both had eyes full of tears, big smiles on our faces, and our lives were about to change forever. I don't think I could ever be happier than I was right then.

Tristan: Getting to marry my best friend was by far the most memorable. But spending the day celebrating with our closest family and friends in such a beautiful place was perfect.

I knew I wanted bunting – I LOVE bunting! A group of friends made the flags for our reception with fabric Tristan and I picked up at a local fabric store.  And one of my best friends and bridesmaids made the bunting that hung on the arch at our ceremony, and now we hang it up in our home for every special occasion and holiday!

Enjoy being engaged! We loved working on wedding stuff, but most of all, we just loved spending that time together! Do what’s most important for you and don’t sweat the small stuff. There were things we planned to do, but didn’t, and the day was still more wonderful than we could have ever hoped for!
