Sexy One Piece Swimsuits, Destination Wedding and Honeymoon Wear ✈ Friday’s FAB 5

Happy Friday Girls! We are virtual shopping today for sexy swimsuits that we think will make the perfect addition to your destination wedding and honeymoon wardrobes.  I’m a bikini lovin girl and in the past, I’ve always bi-passed the swimsuit section when shopping, something I was a little sorry for this week. I feel a little bit embarrassed admitting this but earlier in the week, I started swimming lessons! With less than 4 weeks to go until Mike and I depart for our 6 month world trip, nerves started to kick in on Monday over my poor ability in the water, so I booked a lesson at our local pool. Packing my bag on Wednesday, I realised that I hadn’t a single, pool appropriate swimsuit to my name. With about 10 minutes to play with, I raced to Dunnes where I picked up what has to be the ugliest, most unflattering swimsuit of all time! Not only was my first lesson a bit of a disaster (I was about as elegant as a chicken thrown in head first into the shallow end), I looked as ridiculous out of the pool as I did in it. (I know, first world problems and all that but when you’re a little nervous about something, I find it helps to at least feel pretty!) The minute I got home, I was on the laptop looking for something I didn’t think existed, a sexy one-piece swimsuit. It took about 60 seconds. I am absolutely loving this look and have rounded up some of my favourites to help you with your own shopping spree.

Sexy One Piece Swimsuits

Definitely not suitable for my swimming class are these four beauties but I absolutely love them. The first, very bold and brightly printed We are Handsome One Piece Swim Suit is a serious head turner and can be bought online from ASOS for a small fortune. The plunge neckline and backless detail from one of ASOS’ own collection is for the woman who oozes body confidence. The back is completely bare so a great one for evening out those tan lines! Next we have something a little more subtle, carrying the illusion neckline that we have come to love from 3 seasons of bridal collections. This little number can also be purchased through ASOS (seriously, ASOS never put a foot wrong!). And finally, I have fallen completely in love with this darling Mouille Adele One Piece Swimsuit backless swimsuit with bow detail – So much so, that I purchased and am hoping to have it double up on holidays as a cute little top under my shorts!

Retro One Piece Swim Suits

So many brands have embraced the retro, 1950s swimsuit look and it makes for a real enjoyable experience shopping. Great for those a little bit more self conscious about their bums and tums, covering up has never been more fashionable. For those that just want to stay on trend, you are spoiled for choice. My personal picks start off with the Baroque Print Peridot Retro Swimsuit, it completely embraces the feminine silhouette. Another one that I think would serve me well from beach to normal day wear is the absolutely gorgeous Hermosa One Piece Swimsuit. Love the mix of prints and bold colours and those long sleeves are amazing. A great buy for those of you sensitive to the sun. Next up is the cream and black, scalloped swimsuit from Topshop. The monochrome demands attention and the scallop detail is very retro, pair with a red lip, sun hat and high heels and every beach becomes a catwalk. The belted bandeau playsuit is so flirty, I just love it! With a longer short, it’s another great option for those who just feel better covering up and the belted detail is a good visual tummy sucker. Finally, perhaps the most reminiscent of the 1950s with that hollywood leg line, the Coastline Retro Maillot from Seafolly is pretty much timeless.

Patterned and Floral One Piece Swimsuits

Finally today we wanted to share our most feminine, girly girl one piece swimsuit finds! I love a floral print but on a swimsuit, well it’s just so cute! Starting off with this sweetheart halter swimsuit from Jets, it has a japanese inspired floral theme and the colour palette is so sweet. In the middle we have the tribal patterned swimsuit from Warehouse, introducing the perfect amount of neon to keep on trend. Next, this stunning Ted Baker Orchicd Twist One Piece screams summer and we love the mix of neutral basic with bright colourful pattern. Slightly retro but very floral and girly is the Zimmerman Celestial One Piece Swimsuit, with floral and metallic details. In the middle, the Rosamosario En Space Striped Swimsuit is an investment at $320. If you love polka dots, this bright J.Crew swimsuit should satisfy your appetite and finally, in the middle again we have the Jhemm Oil Painting Suit from Ted Baker, and it is just that. As beautiful as an oil painting!

Before we head off to the beach for the weekend with our newly coveted one piece, we should really share the 5 gorgeous weddings that left us inspired all week long…
