Neil and Nadine’s Wedding at Latitude Festival 2013 – The Suppliers That Made it Happen

Neil and Nadine’s Wedding at Latitude Festival 2013 – The Suppliers That Made it Happen

via

Happy Friday lovely people.

So here is a blog post completely dedicated to all the awesome suppliers who were involved in Neil and Nadine’s Wedding at Latitude Festival which they won as part of a competition run by yours truly.

As you can imagine setting up a festival wedding within a festival was a loaded logistical task but these guys made it possible!! We wanted to choose the very best suppliers in the wedding/festival industry. We also wanted suppliers with a bit of quirk that would bring you, our readers, some great festival inspiration. So here they are one by one!!

Photography by Chris Barber

Chris was the obvious first choice for us for a real festival wedding. We knew his energy and quirky style would deliver!! He did an amazing job of documenting the day for the couple and their guests. With so much going on there was a lot to capture on film but he didn’t let this phase him – he got amongst it, captured all the detail and brought the best out of Nadine and Neil when it came to their couple shots. Being photographed in the middle of a festival with lots of onlookers can be a little daunting but Chris did a great job at keeping the guys relaxed and made the whole process fun and exciting. Nadine and Neil are over the moon with the look and feel of their wedding day photographs. We will be blogging the whole day from finish to end featuring all Chris’s shots in the next few weeks. So excited!

Wedding Film by Lee & Dawn from Shutterbox Films

Laura used Shutterbox Film’s for her wedding day and was so impressed by their passion for film making and obvious talent that it was a no brainer – they had to be our first and only choice for the wedding video. We just love their Super 8 style!! Their editing and use of music is always beautiful and they create a memory to be cherished forever. Again we knew they could make the festival spirit come alive on film, and if Laura’s wedding video is anything to go by, we won’t be disappointed. We are still waiting to see the finished film as it is currently being edited, but we hope to show you very soon….

Ceremony by Maria – One Life Ceremonies

We love a personal ceremony and this is exactly what these guys do. Again we knew of them well before creating the Latitude wedding. We knew they could bring a personal touch to the couples day, making their festival wedding ceremony meaningful and unique.

Styling by Jolly Good Weddings

We met Nat last year at a wedding show and fell in love with her Bollywood inspired wedding table styling. We loved all the bright colours and the quirky elements she used to bring the theme to life. With colour at the forefront of the Latitude wedding we needed a stylist who loved working with colour and could bring Nadine’s ideas to life and Nat did just that. She was great at styling the low tables with a bright take on the Moroccan theme, dressing the gazebos and setting out the DIY picnic. She worked her little butt off all weekend and we couldn’t be more grateful.

Make-up & Hair by Rebecca Fay – Reveal makeup

After meeting Rebecca we knew she was not your average bridal make up artist. For one she works mainly in the editorial industry which means she makes people look great behind the camera and secondly she is so passionate about what she does and that is reflected in her work. She was full of cool make up ideas and was not scared to work with colour – bright vibrant colour! Nadine wanted a fairly striking look that echoed the 50′s and Rebecca made her ideas a reality with no time for a trial!! If you are looking for a creative make up artist then Rebecca is your girl!!

Flowers by East London’s Rebel Rebel

What can we say about these guys a part from the rocked! The ultimate cool cats in the floral world these guys worked so hard top bring to live Nadine and Neil’s ideas and we couldn’t be more grateful. After seeing their floral installations for the likes of Bafta and Big Brother we knew these guys could work some serious magic with flowers. For the Festival Wedding we wanted a bright blooming installation as well as the bouquets and buttonholes. They created a beautiful, colourful and wild flower archway for the wedding ceremony and dotted their blooms around the wedding site in stunning hand painted water cans!!  The bride wore a beautiful off centre floral headband which looked wonderful with the bride’s hand made wedding dress! A great team to work with and full of creative ideas. We totally recommend them for your festival wedding.

Tent by LPM Bohemia

LPM supplied a traditional canvas pole tent for the Latitude wedding. The size was just perfect for the 80 guests. They decked out the tent with low level furniture and benches, pillows and cushions. The dance floor was placed centrally so everyone could crowd in the middle for the party. The tent was lined with a patterned ceiling and bright patterned wall linings which complimented the decor and flower arrangements – all chosen by Nadine and Neil. We loved the laid back layout, so different from a traditional table and chair set up. These guys are gurus of the tent industry, working with both festivals and weddings they know how to achieve your perfect style and layout. They have endless options and we loved working with them and their team!!

Drinks Bar by The Bug Bar

So this is a bar within a camper van!! How cool is that!? We fell in love with Justin’s concept which was newly launched this summer. He worked closely with the couple to create a drink menu suitable for all their guests from non alcoholic beverages to mouthwatering (and dangerously moorish) cocktails!! The Bug Bar looked awesome set up next to the tent and the staff were such good fun!! We would so recommend these guys for your festival wedding.. A bar with such a difference thats bound to be the talking point of your wedding!!

DJ – Rob @ Stick it on

These guys know how to get a party started! Their whole ethos is to involve the guests as well as the Bride & Groom in the DJ elements. Each guest is asked to supply their set on their special online system. The couple can then choose the play order and the guests are asked to come up and play their set!! It was great for getting everyone up and involved. The children loved it and the concept made sure everyone integrated whether it be on the dance floor or through their choice of tunes. If you are having a festival wedding and want a DJ with a difference, then these are your guys!!

Wedding Village (Bell Tents) by Blue Bell Tents

We wanted the wedding guests to experience a bit of VIP style and comfort – A weekend of glamping at Latitude Festival!! Blue Bell are season professionals when it comes to festivals and weddings alike. We loved their stylish bells and the fact their tents came with comfy beds and decor!! The wedding village looked great all lined up and also created a real festival vibe in the wedding area. People decorated the outside of their tents with colourful bunting and pom poms so they could find their tent amongst the village. If you want to create your very own wedding village, just like a music festival, then give these guys a shout for a quote. The set up was a breeze and it certainly takes the hassle away from the accommodation / taxi element of a wedding!

The Honeymoon Suite – The Canvas Co

A honeymoon suite with style and substance…..The Royal Indian Shikar tent offers a high level of luxury and refinement than any other canvas accommodation, furnished with the attention to detail that you’d expect from a serious boutique hotel. The height is also great for getting ready as the ceiling is so high you just feel like you are in a really spacious hotel suite! The couple made a chill out area outside their honeymoon suite with hay bales and tables where they relaxed with friends and family over the wedding weekend. Their bed was scattered with roses, flowers were placed on the dressing table and a hamper full of goodies was ready for the couple when they arrived on site. We would so recommend contacting these guys if you want to sleep in style at your festival wedding!!

Face Decoration and Painting by  The Parlour

This isn’t just face painting, this is face decor and these girls went down a storm at this festival wedding!! Obviously the children loved the entertainment and dress up element of having their faces decorated in the back of a converted ice cream van, but the adults equally embraced the festival vibe and opted for sequins and glitter to transform their laid back hippy styles!! Again these girls are regulars on the festival scene and they have just returned from a summer in Ibiza decorating club goers cheeks.. They are a must for cool entertainment at your festival wedding! We loved them!

Chillout Gazebos – Field Lounge

These chill out areas turned out to be the hub and gathering area for the wedding guests. With hay bales placed underneath them they acted as brilliant shade from the sun and the little bit of rain!! A brilliant design that can be grouped together to create shapes on your site. We created a semi circle which also meant this area could be used for ceremony seating. A great add-on to your festival wedding.

Giant Balloons – Bubblegum Balloons

We loved these guys. Their balloons added the final touches to an already bright and colourful set up. They tied them to the tent posts and they swayed above the large tent in the background of the ceremony. They were also great entertainment for the children and added fun in the kids area of the tent. The couple also took the balloon for a walk around the festival for some photos!!

Be sure to add some balloons to your DIY festival wedding list. They really do set the scene with their bright and colourful streamers.

So there you have it!! All the awesome suppliers that got involved in this years Latitude Wedding and helped create the most epic day for Nadine and Neil.

Never before has a wedding village been set up quite to this scale at a festival and we thank all the suppliers for their input from beginning to end. We couldn’t have done it with out you!

If you are looking for suppliers for your wedding then these guys need to be on your hit list!! They rocked.

Big Love

Festival Brides xx
