Styled Shoot – The Window at 62″

Afternoon Peeps,

How is everyone today? Anyone else refusing to accept that Autumn is upon us by wearing flip flops and summer clothes despite the temperature outside? I’m not ready to let go of our summer yet so these bad boys are staying on for as long as possible!

We have a beautiful festival inspired shoot to share with you today that’s full of quirky kitsch styling ideas for an outside wedding as well as some pretty cool shots by a Mongolian Yurt!

If this shoot doesn’t make your heart pang for Summer then I don’t know what will – Mr Sun we’re not ready for Autumn yet!

The window at 62″ (#thewindowat62) is a collaboration of leading Sussex-based suppliers who have joined forces to create beautiful window displays at bridal boutique Mathilda Rose in Lindfield, West Sussex. The shop window showcases the latest trends and is the perfect place for brides-to-be who are looking for ideas and inspiration.

To celebrate the Worlds biggest and best music festival held at Glastonbury every year the team decided to style #thewindowat62 into a beautifully fun & romantic ‘Wedfest’. Fabulously British in every possible way!!

The stylists decided to take their wedfest ideas into the beautiful Sussex countryside to the perfect wedding ‘glamping’ venue and created this inspirational photoshoot.

Beautiful wedding dresses from British designers Stephanie Allin and Johanna Hehir were selected by Mathilda Rose Owner & Creative Director, Nicola. Chic silhouettes made using glamorous silk and French Chantilly lace, perfect for a romantic outdoors wedding.

Sharon from Flowerbug designs created a pretty English cut garden feel. Dahlias, peonies, delphiniums arranged in a structured but lose style as if just picked and gently gathered in jugs and small glass bottles. Props such as the flower cart and picnic basket also playing a big part to create the right atmosphere, and lots of fun to dress with flowers . Bridal flowers – delicate and mixed with lots of different blooms to again create that just picked from the meadow feel.

Keeping the cakes and treats deliberately rustic, playful and super tasty – Emma from Cake Maison created a pretty-in-pink ombré buttercream wedding cake set on a log stand and decorated with the prettiest flowers by Flowerbug Designs. Sweet treats on the beautiful dessert table include strawberry champagne cupcakes, mini vanilla cakes, summer berries, meringue bites and fun marshmallows for toasting in the twilight.

The wonderful images, by Danni Beach, perfectly capture the relaxed rustic atmosphere and festival details both during the day and late into the evening.

Big Shout out to Nicola from Mathilda Rose for sending us this beautiful shoot. I love the styling of the cake table with the chandelier hanging from the tree – rustic style meets glamour – love it!

Big Love
