This next wedding is DIY Bride GOLD!  As in gold record.  Because this couple, they didn’t just craft some awesome details for their big day, they wrote the score- literally!  They played their own music!  Yes, that’s right, played; with Wendy on drums and Josh on guitar and lead vocals, these two took DIY DJ to a new level! Joan Allen Photo was there to capture some amazing album artwork as she always does.  Snapping up every little creative detail, sweet emotion, and rockin’ good time, this one heck of wedding track you can’t miss!

 

This ridiculously gorgeous ceremony at the Palace of Fine Arts Rotunda, was just the beginning of all the sweet music these two would create on in this fab fete.  The hairpieces (bride’s and bridesmaid’s) were handcrafted by Wendy and her mom.  The amazing centerpieces that added the perfect rustic touch to an amazingly elegant black and white color palette at The Palm Room were also pieced together with love by the bride.

From the Bride:

The centerpieces were nearly 100% DIY’d (we had the succulents put together by Succuelence in San Francisco, and had a lot of help from friends and family). Wood rounds were cut from a tree in my parents’ front yard. A  girlfriend and I arranged the flowers in whiskey vases we collected and feathers were collected by my father and friend who helped out with the flowers on camping and hiking trips. Tiny bluebirds of happiness were inspired by a gift from my great grandmother more than 20 years ago.  My aunt helped with the design process.  And the table names are inspired from our favorite San Francisco streets to bike and hang out in the city.

The Cuss (aka Wendy + Josh) performed five of their original songs!  Josh also took care of a jazzy playlist for dinner and some dance tracks to keep everyone groovin’ into the wee hours.  This has to be one of the rockin’est, most elegant wedding I’ve seen.  The collaboration of Wendy, Josh, and Joan Allen Photo is certainly music to my ears.  Thanks Joan Allen for sharing this fantastic day!  Congratulation Wendy + Josh.   Rock on!!
