This afternoon i get to know Sara Juliet a wedding photographer based in Bristol, who is available throughout the UK. Sara’s images are classic and relaxed with as she describes a ‘glowy feel’. Lets take a look at her photography…

 

Hi Sara, could you firstly tell WWW readers a little bit about you?

 

Hi! I’m Sara, or Sara Juliet. I am 25 years old and have been taking photos of weddings for the last 3 years. I have an insatiable appetite for travel and have always got a camera nearby. I love to wander and get lost in dreams.

 

 

What do you love/dislike about your job?

 

What I really really love about my job? Easy question. I love that I get to have days where I have nothing other to do than look down a lens and take beautiful photos. If I’m honest it’s what I want to be doing most of the time, but life tends to happen, and I get photographers guilt for living behind a lens. So I love that I have absolute freedom to just be behind the lens and be constantly looking for the perfect shot at your wedding. Bliss!

 

 

How did you get into photography and into the wedding industry?

 

When I was 8 years old I remember walking in some woods and being absolutely captivated by the way the light was coming through the trees. The first thing I wanted to do was to capture it and keep it forever. This is what fuelled me to learn about photography and how to capture that beautiful light streaming through those trees. And I’ve been doing it ever since. I fell in love with wedding photography when I saw how it could capture not just a moment but genuine emotion, so I started up 3 years ago and have been doing weddings ever since!

 

 

What do you aim to achieve for your clients?

 

Not just a visual reminder of their day, but I aim to capture the idea and feeling of your day. All of this while being as unobtrusive as possible. Clients often comment that they barely knew I was there! Brilliant!

 

 

What style is your work?

 

My work quite often features what my mum terms ‘that glowy stuff’; she is not a fan of ‘that glowy stuff’ but I love it! I love how it makes your photo turn from just a picture of the day to giving it a feeling of a memory that my clients can look back on and remember the feeling they had on the day.

 

 

Could you tell us some information about your packages/prices?

 

I have a pretty simple price. £750 for the whole day. From bridal prep to half an hour after the first dance. This also includes a pre-wedding shoot if you would like one. You get all the photos on a flash drive with a licence to print and share.

 

 

Do you have any tips for couples in selecting their wedding photographer?

 

Go with your gut! If you love someone’s work then go with them! Try not to let price be too much of a barrier. Your photographer will give you your lasting memories of the day. There is nothing worse than having an absolutely GORGEOUS wedding but not budgeting enough for photography and ending up with photos that you don’t feel reflect your day. When you can spend more on the photographer, who will make ANY wedding look fabulous.
