Maddison + Mac’s elegant, Italian-inspired Virginia wedding, photographed by Gabe Aceves, was a gorgeous blend of all of their favorite things. Held at a beautiful, historical estate overlooking the Potomac River in Leesburg, Virginia, this wedding is proof that rustic + classic styles can truly go together hand-in-hand. Maddison wore the most lovely dress, which was handmade by a friend using pieces of both Mac’s + her mother’s wedding dresses. Seriously love that. And don’t the guys look super sharp in their timeless, black tuxes? We definitely think so! Here’s a bit more from Maddison about how she + Mac made their day special:
After our engagement, Mac + I made a list of things we love: Italy, cocktails with sugared rims, pocket squares, wood-fired pizza, bluegrass music, our little cat Bruni, al fresco dinners, and more. Using this “love list,” we planned our wedding day. Everything we included in our wedding had to be meaningful to both of us and while this meant many a long conversation over what would or would not be included (a gold piñata with confetti didn’t make Mac’s cut!), we really were able to create a day that was incredibly special for both of us. And once we discovered Murray Hill, we happily began to envision our wedding as a big Italian dinner party with all our closest family and friends in the midst of the Virginia countryside…

And how pretty do the bridesmaid’s look in their varying shades of pink? Such a fun ombrè effect!
After Mac + I were announced and entered the party, the fiddler led us on a little parade through the woods to the barn. It was such fun to look behind us as we made our way to the reception — so many people that we love following along, laughing and smiling.
All of the paper goods were designed + hand-painted by Maddison, including the lovely wine bottle table numbers and the gorgeous menus. So, so pretty!
