Like the idea of renting an entire resort to make the most of your wedding weekend? For Chloe and Tim’s Jervis Bay waterside wedding (captured by A Bear a Deer and a Fox), they did just that! Celebrating the entire time with their family, friends and the softest, most beautiful beachy vibe.

Chloe tells their, quite epic if you ask me, story! She starts, “We began working together in 2001, I thought he was quite the catch, so I tried to set him up with my little sister. However the minute she pointed out he had dimples (which I am a sucker for ) my views of him began to change. We started to lunch together which led to a few dates outside of work ….. 11 years later we are now happily married and expecting our first little boy.”

Chloe and Tim booked out Bay of Plenty Lodges for their guests and held their ceremony and reception at the same venue. Chloe explains “We knew early on that we wanted to start our own family being surrounded by the love of our friends and family. So we booked the entire holiday resort, tucked away from the world and took all our nearest and dearest away for three days to celebrate the beginning of our married life.”

For the processional, Chloe remembers, “I chose “Everything” by Lifehouse. This was always our special song since we first started dating. We are both very family orientated and wanted everyone to help play a part in our special day. We enlisted our nieces and nephews (all 14 of them!) to walk me down the aisle. Each were paired as flower girls and page boys, with the youngest being our proud ring bearer (he was practicing for weeks!) and the eldest 2 girls singing a special song for us during our ceremony.”

My Violet created the most incredible fluffy soft floral arrangements, Chloe remembering, “Myra from My Violet  created our floral masterpiece. She is amazing, we cannot speak highly enough of the beautiful arrangements she creates.” Chloe wore a gown custom made by Mahalia Golebiowski .

Of their photographer, Chloe remarks, “We had an amazing photographer to help capture our special day, Brendan, from A Bear, a Dear and a Fox. We both hated to be photographed so Brendan was amazing in capturing those special moments without us knowing he was there. He was so relaxed which in turn made us so comfortable and i think it really shows ,the photos were so natural and beautiful.”

“We DIYed a lot of it. We made our own invites. We hired the tables, chairs, marquee, and sound equipment and set everything up and decorated it. We did all the table dressings and arrangements. In the year leading up to the wedding we started collecting mason jars for candles holders and vases which we scattered around the venue. We made our own bunting flags and collected little ornaments which help create a sense of who were as a couple. We made our own chandeliers out of fairy lights and bicycle wheels. We made a dessert bar with lollies and cakes. We made kids’ tables with craft packs for each kid to keep them entertained. We bought all our own alcohol. We organised a welcome BBQ on the Friday night where our guests mingled and a “thank you/Recovery” breakfast on the Sunday morning.”

Chloe notes, “They say marriage is the union of two souls but the weekend was also about the union of two families. We felt so loved and so connected to everyone. Both sides of the family really bonded and become so close on a weekend no one will ever forget. Also the weather was just amazing, being an outdoor wedding that was something we were really worried about. It turned out just perfect!”

The couple made their own wedding cake, but the rest of the food was catered by Bonitas Catering. Chloe remarking “Andrew and the team from Bonitas Catering, Pyree, made amazing meals for all of us, despite working out of a makeshift kitchen at our remote location.”

For their first dance, the couple took to the outside dance floor under the stars, Chloe remembers, “Our first dance was to ” I’ll be ” by Edward M’cain. We danced under the moon surrounded by sparklers lit by everyone…. it was a magical moment and place to be….”

Congratulations on your marriage Chloe and Tim! Thank you so much for sharing your day with us! Thank you to Brendan of A Bear a Deer and a Fox) for sharing today’s celebration !
