Can't get time off from work - this is a logistic that can impede many vacations now and in the future. Your time off and his time off have to match. There have been couples who've had to get creative. If one had two weeks and one had only a few days they met at the destination and spent those days together. New husbands have been known to leave wives to enjoy the rest of the time at the resort alone.
Fatigue - after all the stress and hustle and bustle of planning the wedding and attending it many couples are so exhausted that they know that they will not be able to enjoy the honeymoon resort.
Peak season - many resorts charge higher rates during the peak season and if you have your heart set on this resort it maybe more within your budget to wait for off-season accommodations. But remember that off season can be risky especially when visiting tropical destinations, weather is often the reason that resorts sit almost empty during certain times of the year.
