In our earlier post we shared with you our stay at at the Ritz Carlton Millenia, Singapore and how much we fell in love with this hotel, the amazing view from most rooms and the fabulous club lounge!

Besides our lovely stay at this hotel, we were even luckier to be in Singapore, just in time to attend Varnamaya - the Indian Wedding Showcase - at the Ritz Carlton Millenia. The Ritz Carlton in Singapore has long been one of the preferred hotels for Indian weddings. And this wedding exhibition, showcased exactly why that is!

Varnamaya showcased everything Indian wedding related. The décor was specifically for Indian weddings right from backdrops, props and even a mandap in the pre function area to a few mock table setups in the ballroom. This was great because it showcased not just how the ballroom and other areas at the hotel could be decorated and utilized but also it really showed the creativity of the Indian wedding decorators associated with the hotel!

We also loved the display of wedding invitations and favors, which made this the perfect one stop shop for everything Indian wedding related. Something everyone was looking forward to was the fashion show by Style Mart and the exquisite jewellery on display by Genesis Global. The fashion show had Indian wear for every Indian wedding event right from the mehendi or pre wedding to the big fat Indian wedding and reception.

But the highlight of the evening was the food spread. The hotel put together a whole variety of Indian food from tandoor to South Indian, lobster curry to a whole range of yummy Indian desserts. I know that a lot of guests at the show, who had their upcoming wedding at the Ritz Carlton, really enjoyed sampling everything and checking out the display to know what to expect for their big day. Our verdict - the Indian food was absolutely yummy!

In addition to the grand setup in the pre-function areas and the ballroom, the Ritz Carlton Millenia also showed potential clients how they go the extra mile at their suites specially for newly married couples and honeymooners!

Varnamaya was attended by everyone from potential wedding clients to regular clientele of the Ritz Carlton Millenia in Singapore. We loved the idea of this Indian wedding showcase - Varnamaya - as it really brought together everything Indian wedding related all under one roof at the spectacular Ritz Carlton Millenia making it very easy for potential brides and grooms to piece their wedding together.
