Meet Rachel. A gorgeous bride to be and fellow blogger who is in the latter stages of planning her 2014 summer wedding. We first came across Rachel via her amazing Instagram page which blew us away with its gorgeous imagery, lovely quotes and stunning beach inspiration. As beach weddings are bang on trend for 2014, I had to invite her to share some of her ideas with you gorgeous people as they are just too good to keep to myself!

Over to our Bride by The Beach..........

Well hello lovely Festival Bride readers! I'm Rachel aka Bride by the Beach and I'm saying the big I do in June.

First of all I LOVE Festival Brides and everything that they stand for. It's so refreshing to find beautiful wedding inspiration that's fresh, original and shows plenty of creativity - completely stoked to be asked to guest blog! So I'll be posting my thoughts on all things wedding pretty and how the whole planning malarkey is coming along.

A little about me - I've been with "The Boy" for nearly 10 years and every time we talked about the M word, we knew a church and a traditional wedding just wasn't us. We love music, the beach and having a ruddy good time so why not try and combine that for our big day? So we are. In Ibiza. On a beach. Boho stylee.

This is us at one of the greatest places in the world. Oh Glastonbury how I love you so.

We haven't got a huge budget so we're trying to DIY everything we can - we're making the invitations, favours, headpieces for the bridesmaids, decorations and even the confetti. Oh and the Mother In Law to be is making the dress (don't worry, I have full faith in her dress making skills.)

We've got an idea in our heads of what we would like the day to be. Him in a well cut summer suit, me in a dreamy backless dress, twinkly lights, laid back vibes, toes in the sand and dancing under the stars.

To get a little flavour of what we're hoping our day will be, I've made a few (four) inspiration boards. Who doesn't love Pinterest?!

So the invitations have gone out, Bridesmaids dresses have been bought and flights booked. Our 17 month engagement has ticked tocked down to 5 months *gulps*. I'll be keeping you gorgeous lot updated with how the rest of my frantic wedding plans are going, how I'm progressing with the long list of DIY projects and talking about lots of other delightful beachy boho bridal piccies that inspire me. Just wait until you see some of the wedding dresses I have up my sleeve!

Right I'm off to prepare me a week's worth of healthy lunches. Operation "Get Buff for 'Beefa" is on like Donkey Kong. Be back soon!
