Super excited about Becky and Bryce's Santa Barbara real wedding feature ... I was obsessed with their wedding the second that the ladies of La Fete Weddings submitted it to me! The red and deep burgundy details are gorgeous and Becky is such a beautiful bride! The florals on the table are pure perfection and you'll have fun pinning away while you plan for your wedding day! Enjoy!

XO~ Heather

We hired an amazing wedding coordination team! The second I started talking about the wedding with my Mom we knew who to call! Colette Lopez and Kaitlin Lopez Kolvet with Le Fete Weddings. From our first meeting to our last meeting with them, they took our vision and our ideas and they made them come to life perfectly. I absolutely loved the planning process because they were so enjoyable to work with. They were absolutely amazing and we could not have had our dream wedding without them! The day and night was everything we dreamed of and more! Every detail was perfect, from the crystal chandeliers, crystal walls and fabric draping to the gorgeous table arrangements, flowers, lighting, food, music - EVERYTHING was PERFECT! I LOVED the white dance floor with our B&B logo - and as our perfect dinner came to an end - the dance party we dreamed of having took place! No one wanted the night to end - especially B&B! It was a perfect day & night - and we will always be grateful for all the hard work they put into making our wedding day come together!!

The theme of the wedding came to us the day after we got engaged in Maui, Hawaii. We were driving to Hana, so had 7 hours to talk wedding! We decided we wanted a fun, glamorous black tie wedding where we could dance the night away! Our inspirational themes were The Great Gatsby (formal, elegant, 1920's fun) meets Havana Nights (dancing on a hot summer night). This is exactly what we got!

Bryce actually took on the photographer search. He spent countless hours researching photographers in Santa Barbara and the surrounding Southern California areas. He put together a list and we narrowed it down together to our top 5. But one person always stood out the most to us, and this photographer was Willa Kveta. We didn't want to hire anyone without meeting them, so when I was home one weekend, Willa came to my parents house to show us some of her work in person. I knew the second I met Willa, she would fit in perfectly with Bryce and me and our desire to have "fun" while taking photos. Willa was a true pleasure to work with during the wedding and after as we created our wedding album. She always took that extra step to make sure we were happy throughout the process while having fun at the same time. Every photo Willa took throughout our wedding day was so beautiful, and we will always be grateful to her for capturing our day so magically perfect!

Becky: The ceremony. It was the one moment throughout such an incredible day where we could just focus on each other and the true blessing we were both going through. I felt like we were in our own little world. Our fist dance and my Dad singing to us at the reception are also 2 of my very favorite moments. There were so many!

Bryce: Waiting for Becky at the altar and seeing her walk down the aisle.

I honestly think we decided on most things for our wedding directly after we got engaged in Maui because we were so excited. Bryce and I were at dinner the night of our engagement and we were talking about where we wanted to get married. I am from Santa Barbara and he is from Orange County so either location would have been beautiful, but we both had a connection to SB as he went to college there. So Santa Barbara is what we decided and quickly after that I said that there would be no better place to have the reception then where I grew up; in my parent's backyard. My parents could not have been more excited when we told them our idea and they of course agreed! As for the ceremony, we made a trip home to SB one weekend. My Dad's best friend and the best man at his wedding is the lead choir singer at the First United Methodist Church. We went and visited this church and the second I walked in I had tears in my eyes. Everyone was so warm and welcoming at this church we knew it was where we wanted to get married. Not to mention the church incorporated all of our wedding colors! :)

Our florist was Camilla Svensson Burn. Our wedding planner recommended her and we loved her the second we met her. We knew based on our first meeting with her the flowers would be amazing. Because we were having an outside wedding, we knew the lush landscaping of my parents backyard would add to the look and feel of the wedding so we did not want the flowers to be too over the top. We wanted a simple, elegant and powerful feel and that is exactly what we got. The flowers were mostly red with gold accents everywhere - they looked amazing. My bouquet and bridesmaids bouquets were so beautiful as well. They were the perfect to touch to all of our dresses! I actually dried a good amount of the flowers from the wedding and have them in vases throughout our home - they still look amazing!

Have fun! It goes by SO fast - so enjoy every single moment.
