Today's post could be right out of Sex and the City when Carrie visited Paris and I LOVE it! The shoot is the creative concept of photographer Jessica Maida and features a captivating pink wedding dress by Laurianda Jenkins, sashaying through the streets of Paris.
One of my favourite styling elements of the shoot is the chunky Anthropologie necklace the compliments the showstopping dress and brings the bridal look bang on trend.
Jessica takes us through the shoot: " While visiting Paris for engagement portraits one weekend, I wanted to also have some fun with bridals. The Pink Wedding Dress is a popular concept in the fashion/bridal industry and months prior after finding the most gorgeous pink rosette fabric, I enlisted my friend and Clothing Designer Laurianda Jenkins to design a simple yet high fashion spin on the princess cut wedding ball gown. Once the trip was planned, Paris seemed like the perfect location to also test out this fashion inspired bridal session.

A favorite location for this session was Rue Galande which stylist Tara Hawkins was able to scout the night before and it gave us the gorgeous backdrop free of tourists but with Notre-Dame in the background. This quaint, somehow hidden street led us right to Odette Paris, a fast second favorite! There was a soft, romantic and sophisticated yet approachable tone we hoped to portray through our bride and at one point as she stood in the doorway of Odette Paris a group of three tourists rushed for their cameras wanting their pictures with our beautiful bride as they mistook her for more royalty than model. ;)

As our model bride, Emilie Savard remained a gracious sweetheart and great sport despite the chilly morning by the river. She brought to life the bride I envisioned with a hint of fashion and sweet tooth for Parisian coffee and pastry shops as she made her way down Rue Galande to La Seine. To complement her soft tones, we looked for strong backgrounds with pops of color and plenty of texture."
