The best people to go to for marriage advice are the couples who have been at it for decades -- our parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles, friends and in-laws with 30, 40, 50 and even 60+ years of experience under their belts.

We asked our readers to tell us the best advice they've received from the long-married twosomes in their lives. Below are nine pieces of marital wisdom from couples married a combined 506 years (!!!). It's safe to say these folks know what they're talking about.

Jenny and Manny DaSilva | 65 years
"When you go to bed at night, it doesn't matter how angry or sad you are, you don't have to say anything but you always, always touch toes. Just a little reminder that I'm here and I still love you no matter what."
