Surprise proposal in Paris with White Envelope Project

via

It's almost the weekend and I have a wonderfully sweet surprise proposal in Paris today by Juliane Berry Photography. It never ceases to amaze me that skill of Juliane and fellow Parisian photographers who manage to create wonderful images just the city and the couple, no pesty tourist photo bombing shots here!

You might be reading the title and wondering what the White Envelope project is, well I will let bride to be Jamie explainin their touching love story: " Brian proposed on our first full day in Paris! It was a beautiful fall day in September. We decided to take a walk and ended in Champs De Mars with the back drop of the Eiffel Tower.

I have never in my life felt more spoiled. Not only was I taken to the most romantic city in the world, but I was promised a present everyday of our trip. It was there in that park that Brian decided to give me one of my presents. He pulled out from his backpack a giant envelope titled the "white envelope project ".

"There was a time when I was convinced I would never find love again because of a white envelope, and now I was about to have a second chance with yet again a white envelope! Life is filled with irony. We often look back in amazement at what we termed the puzzle pieces that fell in place for us. If I did not take off work, or if he did not call on my office, or if Janee did not stop him in the hallway, we may have never been. There were many things that had to happened in order for us to be together. Call it fate, divine intervention, call it what you will, but I believe we were meant to be. We both had tragedy in our past. Brian in my life has been the healing that I desperately wanted. I am so thankful for his patience and compassion in the early years of our relationship. The "white envelope project" started as a letter written from the beginning of our relationship and continued over time to show how our feelings evolved. We decided when we would exchange them. (I have yet to exchange my half of the project). I remember my heart racing when he handed me the 15 paged typed document that he had me read out loud in the park! I remember the words he wrote coming true as the end of the letter was being read. I was overwhelmed with excitement knowing he wanted to spend the rest of his life with me. I remember his face as I read the last sentence. His handsome smile stretched across his face. He took off my sunglasses, hoping for teary eyes. It amazes me now as I sit and reminisce my eyes start to tear and in the moment all I felt was pure joy! Giddy and my hand shaking as he took out the box with most beautiful ring inside and placed it on my finger. I became the luckiest woman in the world that day. I never dreamed anyone could be so romantic. Brian spent months preparing to make that week as special as it was. He thought of every detail, including hiring Juliane Berry to take our engagement pictures.

Juliane made us feel comfortable since this was our first photo shoot. She welcomed creative ideas and had many of her own. She cared about our story and was able to capture it! We were amazed with the pictures when we received them. It is impossible to pick a favorite, each is beautiful and recalls fond memories. The experience and the photographs will be forever treasured! Thank you Juliane!"

Congratulations to Brian and Jamie and don't forget if you got engaged in Paris or another wonderful locations, you can submit your proposal story here [email protected]
