We've almost come through the depths of Winter...the end of February is in sight and today's wedding will definitely make you feel like Spring is just around the corner. The combination of yellow flowers and gorgeous cornflower blue Bridesmaids dresses evokes daffodils and blue skies. I promise within a few weeks we'll all be packing away the coats and jumpers and pulling out the dresses and floaty blouses. Well, let's keep our fingers crossed anyway...

Bride Charlotte looks amazingly chic in an unusual Jesus Peiro gown, which has pockets. I know - so useful. And that giant ballerina bun looks fabulous - Charlotte has some serious cheekbones!!

I think my favourite thing about Charlotte and Nick's wedding is actually the font they've chosen for their paper goods. It's so simple, but so very effective. The table plan, place names, jam jar labels - everything is beautifully coordinated.

Charlotte The Bride: Every time I go home to visit my parents, my friend Louise and I head up to Packington Moor Farm shop for a sneaky slice of cake and a cuppa. I had no idea there was a wedding venue attached until Louise mentioned it one day.

Before Nick and I even got engaged, I went home and joked to him that I'd found our wedding venue...thankfully that didn't scare him off and when we visited we both fell in love with it immediately.

When I took my Mum and Dad to Silk Brides to show them a dress I'd liked but I just didn't have "the feeling" when I tried it on. Jo asked me to wait for a second and quickly returned holding another dress which I had previously ruled out.

I later found out that she had mouthed to my parents "she'll buy this one!" The dress was by Barcelona-based designer Jesus Peiro. It was so simple and elegant; beautifully cut but with a certain edge - and it had pockets! Awesome - somewhere to keep my lippy!

I bought a beautiful crystal bridal headband on eBay from Valencia Vintage, to complement the crystal decoration on the belt of my dress. It was made to order so I was able to select an ivory ribbon to match my dress. I had never seen anything like it before a couple of our wedding guests have already asked for the details which is a huge compliment.

I've had my makeup done for me a couple of times and to be honest, I've always been a little horrified by the results. I was determined to do my own makeup, so put myself on a short makeup course and invested in the right products. I saw this as a chance to learn new skills and find great products that I could use again and again. I was a little nervous that my hands would be shaking too much on the day, but thankfully I was fine, even after all the bubbles!

We looked for a florist local to the venue and began to think we'd struggle to find someone whose flowers looked like they belonged in the 21st century. Luckily we stumbled upon Carrie Lucas, the most friendly, bubbly florist ever!

I was so impressed with Nick! I had absolutely zero input into his suit selection as Nick knew exactly what he wanted. He went to Savile Row tailor King and Allen, selected the cloth and lining fabric, and made sure he had the perfect fit.

I loved Chris Barber's edgy and refreshing take on wedding photography. I was instantly captivated by his blog and gallery of wedding images. Particularly the way he has an instinct for capturing the exact moment when something awesome happens.

Our first dance was "You're All I Need To Get By" by Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell. The words basically tell the story of our relationship. "Like sweet morning dew, I took one look at you, and it was plain to see, you were my destiny".

Nick said that when he first saw me, he just knew!

"With arms open wide, I threw away my pride"...and went out with him even though he's ginger.
Seriously though, bizarrely we have always know this song would be our first dance, but we're not sure why. It's just a song we have both always loved and the words have a very significant meaning.

When my bridesmaid Sarah got married, she made her own bunting; all in white but with different textures of fabric including lace panels and satin, for a really subtle yet beautiful effect. She kindly let us borrow the bunting for our wedding (and even helped to put it up!) and it really added a sense of romance to the atmosphere in the wedding breakfast room.

For us, it was important that our relatives who are no longer with us weren't forgotten and were present in some way on our special day. Nick's Grandma was a poet and we had fallen in love with one of her poems which beautifully describes love in its most raw and real form called "new love, old love". Nick's brother Luke read this out for us during our ceremony.

The day before the wedding my Mum gave me two items which were given to my Nan by my Grandad. The first was a small heart shaped brooch with my Nan's name "Olive" surrounded by little yellow flowers. The second was a silver filigree pendant with the word "wife" in the centre. I attached both of these to the front of my bouquet so that I felt my grandparents were both with me as I walked down the aisle.
