There's something utterly chic about a groom in a tux.

It's not a sight we see much of at the moment with most menfolk either opting for Morning suits or for super swish modern day attire and personally I think it's a bit of a shame for a man clad in black tie always makes me go a bit weak at the knees.

Adrian almost gives the lovely Amy a run for her money with his Dries Van Noten tux and shiny dress shoes and colour pop pink hydrangea buttonhole. I said almost because Amy is most definitely hot to trot in not one but two completely gorgeous bridal frocks and EPIC accessories. Just wait until you see her shoes.

Perhaps the most amazing thing about Amy and Adrian's wedding though is that every single guest 'married' the couple. Yep you heard right, their best man printed the vows the pair had written onto flash cards so that their guests could read them out in unison for the couple to then repeat back to them.

Immense.

Amy The Bride: I knew I wanted something ivory, simple and streamlined for my wedding dress (I surprised myself by wanting something fairly traditional) with some lace. Once I'd tried on my dress at The Vintage Wedding Dress Company I knew I'd found 'the one'. Nothing else even came close, and luckily it needed very little adjustment.

Because of the style of the dress, I wanted little in the way of jewellery. I HAD to have gold shoes and eventually found the ones I wanted in Liberty. The earrings were antique and simple, with a pearl drop from Fur Coat No Knickers. I wear my jade bangle constantly - it never comes off so I thought it might be bad luck to take it off on my wedding day! My friend Ellie Tobin did my make-up.

In the evening I wanted something a bit more dancing friendly, so changed into a short McQueen jacquard dress, which was MADE for dancing! I also wanted something a little higher heel-wise in the evening, so changed into a pair of stilettos, also by McQueen.

Adrian wanted a tux from the very start, as far as I know. He had a few dramas finding exactly the right thing as he's very particular. Once he'd found the Dries van Noten one (which was exactly what he wanted), he then had a bit of a nightmare tracking it down in his size. But it was obviously meant to be - he got there in the end. His patent dress shoes were Russell & Bromley and his cuff links belonged to my father.

We chose The Roost for our venue because of its character and its proximity to our home! It's 5 minutes walk from our flat and a really amazing place that we knew we'd have to do very little with to get it looking amazing. We had already had our church ceremony on the Isle of Wight the previous weekend, so this was the wedding for our friends. Because of this we wanted to throw a proper, big party with lots going on in different spaces, to make it a day/night to remember.

Our flowers were pulled together by a friend who knows me and the venue well enough to know exactly what we should have, with very little guidance from us. We knew we wanted bold, striking flowers that could hold their own in such an eclectic, colourful space. She captured the mood perfectly.

Our bridesmaid wore a beautiful gold jacquard dress by Malene Birger (which suited our very loose colour theme of green/reds/gold perfectly) with hot pink shoes by Manolo Blahnik and the best man wore a tuxedo from Start in Shoreditch.

Because we had already had our official wedding ceremony on the Isle of Wight, we decided we wanted our friends to perform a major part in our London 'ceremony'. Gareth, the best man, printed the vows we had written ourselves onto flash cards and our guests read them out to us in unison (more or less!) so we could then repeat them back. It was such an uplifting, incredible feeling having all of our friends 'marry' us! Our best friends Alice & Tom then performed their own arrangement of our favourite track, 'Dust' by Recloose, which brought tears to many eyes!

We had copious quantities of gin and tonic followed by an enormous hog roast accompanied by an assortment of delicious salads, hand-picked wines and a delicious cremant for the toasts. Our friend Inga made an absolutely stunning wedding cake, based on our loose colour scheme of green, gold and pinks. It was incredibly personal as she knows us both so well - the birds on the cake were inspired by a necklace that Adrian had made for me as a gift a few years into our relationship.

As big cheese fans it was important to us to have an enormous cheese board. It was epic! Everyone had brought a bottle with them, so once dinner and toasts were over, we had plenty of booze to keep us going through the night.

Bethan did an incredible job with our wedding photography - both she and her assistant were so thorough and detail orientated. We're thrilled with the results, but they're so good we're a little daunted at the prospect of editing them for our album!!!

The best thing by far about our London wedding was how involved all of our friends were. They helped us set everything up the night before and dress the space using props and furniture already at the Roost. They helped us lay the tables and set out the glassware, put little flowers in jars on the tables, make the accompanying salads for the hog roast, be master of ceremonies, arranged bar staff and generally herded all of our guests from one room to the next for each segment of the reception. We couldn't have done it without them! It also saved us a fortune, as they did so much for us that we could easily have paid someone else a great deal to do.
