Megan and Greg's local green DIY wedding in Oregon was filled with so much quirky personality that it is hard not to smile when looking at their photos. After stumbling across a vibrant wedding reception venue at the Cornelius Pass Roadhouse before their engagement, they both knew that was the sort of day they wanted when the time came. Fast forward about two years and the same barn is decked out in handmade decorations, local flowers, apples, and seasonal pies. The relaxed and homey environment encouraged all those involved to just be themselves. This wedding is so inviting you will wish you could step through the screen and enjoyed this inspired day with Megan and Greg. Or maybe just settle with modeling your own wedding after theirs!

From the Bride and Groom:
About a year before we got engaged, Greg and I had dinner with some friends at the Cornelius Pass Roadhouse on a warm, late summer evening. We were eating close to the barn, where there was a very lively wedding going on, and the whole atmosphere just seemed almost magical. After we were engaged and were searching for venues, when we came upon the Roadhouse, we both remember how beautiful that wedding looked, and how much fun it was to watch people dancing in the barn. We both seemed to have a special memory of that evening and the barn wedding, and knew it was where we wanted to celebrate our big day.
From the Groom:
The most memorable part for me was the first look. I knew my bride to be would be absolutely stunning and not only was I not disappointed, but practically knocked off my feet. I will always remember that moment, and she will forever be my beautiful bride.
From the Bride:
Everybody who has had a wedding probably says this, but I would have tried harder to enjoy the day of and just relax. Our day of coordinator and friends and family did a great job of helping with all the logistics and making it all work, but I wish I would have done a better job of forcing myself to detach from the details that day.
The general vibe of our wedding and all the decor was rustic and very homespun. Many of the elements were homemade, and we tried to make it feel very comfortable and natural. We both love the Pacific Northwest, and tried to incorporate local themes where we could - pies from Pacific Pie Company with seasonal fruits, apples from a Mt. Hood orchard as decoration and favors for guests, flowers from the nearby Sauvie Island Farms, and lots of green. We made most of the decorations ourselves, and spent a lot of quality time together the year before our wedding working on various DIY projects. Shout out to grandma for her mad sewing skills! I wish I would have known that storing my dress on the hanger before the wedding could stretch the straps out. The dress still worked, and I was still very happy with it, but keeping it on that hanger for the month before the wedding did stretch the straps out a little, and the dress ended up being just a tad too long. I ended up tripping over if a few times!
