Elegance personified on the blog today courtesy of Carrie Patterson Photography. If you're looking for the perfect wedding mix of outdoor, rustic, elegance, look no further. From the petal strewn aisle, the bride's Monique Lhuillier gown, the bridesmaids grey dresses and the epic florals from Bear Flag Farm, this is a real wedding that will leave an impression...

The ring bearer carried love letters written by the couple, which they read to each other the following day. Guests cooled off with paper parasols, pre-ceremony lemonade, and programs that doubled as fans. Lots of details to get pinning on your Pinterest board!

From the bride, Mary: "Mark completely shocked me with his proposal, 10 months after we started dating. We were celebrating his 30th birthday in Las Vegas with friends and family. One minute he was thanking everyone; the next, he was on bended knee. I didn't see it coming! "

"My dress was the fifth I tried on. It's pale pink with a floral pattern that you can see only up close. It inspired a lot of the wedding decor!"

Mary's soft pink and white-hued bouquet featured hydrangeas, blushing bride proteas, roses, snowberries, dusty millers. " We went for a Versailles-in-the-park feel. Our palette was blush, gray, and lavender with a little bit of sparkle. "

" We wanted an outdoor wedding and chose the farm for its picturesque landscape. We were especially awestruck by the sunken lawn where the ceremony would take place. We knew right away that this was it."

"Mark and I wrote the ceremony ourselves. We included traditional vows, as well as an excerpt from Hemingway's A Farewell to Arms and the poem 'Love,' by Roy Croft."

"I loved the ficus trees that we placed around the dance floor. We had a sit-down dinner with dessert stations. The best part was the late-night snacks. The mini burgers, fries, and root-beer floats were a nod to my childhood favorites. Dessert included crowd pleasers like s'mores."

Their signature cocktail, a lavender sidecar, was made with brandy, Cointreau, lavender-honey syrup, lemon juice, and orange bitters and rimmed with lavender-infused sugar. Escort cards hung from a wine rack in honor of the setting. Elements like a old-fashioned truck brimming with the wedding's signature flowers and bales of hay enhanced the rustic edge of the farm venue. Mini lounges made up of sequined-pillow-strewn loveseats flanked the tent.

"Our first dance was to 'Save Room,' by John Legend. Mark had put it on a mix CD he made for me in college, when we were just friends."

During the reception, guests could party in the tent or take free rides on a rented Ferris wheel, a surprise gift from Mary's parents. " We didn't find out until the day of! We were so excited. "

"Our stationer made a poster-size map of the farm for guests to sign, but no one remembered to put it out! We're framing the unsigned map and displaying it at home. It's still a beautiful souvenir." Vendor details
