Breezy Norfolk Beach Engagement | Whimsical Wonderland Weddings

A lovely little love story for you WWWers this afternoon :-)

Amy and Jon had a whirlwind romance with Amy attending a family wedding with Jon within a month of meeting. Fast forward a couple of years and Jon got down on one knee and popped the question with a super beautiful ring. Now they are planning their summer wedding.

They headed to one of their favourite haunts; Old Hunstanton beach for their breezy and romantic engagement shoot.

Thanks so very much to Fran and Stef Photography for sharing their gorgeous photographs today.

We actually met at the bar next door after a busy week at work, in the height of summer. We chatted all night and within a week we'd had our first date, and within a month I'd been his date at his brother's wedding at their parent's house in Norfolk - meeting the whole family! We were both at that stage in our lives where we were ready to settle down with the right person." "A year later, both being brought up in the country, we made the decision to leave London and head back to a quieter life. Jon joined the family firm in the Norfolk countryside and I started the search for a new career! We moved in with Jon's parents where we lived in their annex for 8 months whist we searched for a house. We moved to Norfolk in the November of 2011, and took quite a few trips to Old Hunstanton beach for something to do on Sunday afternoons. Wellies, chunky scarves, thick coats and hugs kept us warm whilst we strolled down the beach, usually on crisp, freezing cold days. So when we were deciding where to have our engagement shoot it seemed like the perfect place - plus we wanted a completely different feel to what will (hopefully) be very summery wedding photo's." "We now own a beautiful house in Ely (I work in Cambridge) and we're planning our wedding for August. Jon proposed in August 2013 just outside of Skipton in Yorkshire (a place very dear to my heart and where most of my family now live), in a beautiful place called Hellified Peel Castle. We'd seen it on Grand Designs 6 months before and thought it was amazing, and Jon told me after watching it that he decided "that's where I'm going to propose". He rang up to make a reservation and they were booked up solid on the weekends until 2015 but when Jon told them of his plans they let us come and stay on the one weekend they keep free for themselves! Amazing. It was beautiful - you really don't realise until you get to this place just how amazing the setting and the building is. It was just perfect. Jon said I was a nightmare in the run up to the weekend as I always insist on knowing exactly what's going on! But he finally got me there and proposed as soon as we arrived so he could enjoy the rest of the weekend. We both got fairly emotional. By the end of the drive up there I had twigged that something was going on and when we checked into the castle I was sure it was about to happen, but when your significant other goes down on one knee with a ring (even if you're expecting it), it's still a shock. It still catches you by surprise. And then we started planning the wedding...." "So we're six months away and most of the big plans have been made. We're getting married in a pretty little church just round the corner from Jon's Mum and Dad's house in Norfolk (where he grew up) and then the reception is in a beautiful marquee in the grounds of their house. We're planning on a relaxed, romantic vintage carnival wedding with beautiful food, thirst quenching drinks, and lawn games. We just want everyone we love to have a great day and of course we both can't wait to be "Mr & Mrs"."

From Amy: "I had been living in London for about 3 years when I met Jon. I was a production coordinator for ITV, working hard on various productions, and Jon had just moved to the Capital and started work downstairs at ITV Studios in the post production editing suites as a client runner.

Beautiful. Thanks for sharing guys XOXO Lou
