You've been planning this day. Thinking about nothing else except it for the last several months (or has it already been a year?!) and you are dreaming of the romantic moments. When you are finally pronounced husband and wife and you kiss...dancing your first dance together...cutting the cake...Well as a woman who has been married for almost 10 years and has been to a lot of weddings (and who also happens to write for an awesome wedding blog!) let me drop a bomb on you. The romantic moments are the ones you haven't planned. The ones you haven't thought about because you didn't know they were going to happen. Take for instance my husband's reaction to seeing me walk down the aisle; his knees buckled. It was one of the most beautiful moments of my life. I could have no way of knowing because his reaction was all his, something I couldn't foresee or plan. That's what I'm trying to tell you. In life, it's really the little moments that are actually the romantic ones you've always hoped for. It's not kissing in the rain, it's not him sweeping you up into his arms and kissing the heck out of you after an argument. It's holding your hand as you greet your guests on your wedding day. It's the smile that never seems to leave his face every time he catches a glimpse of you in your dress. These are the truly romantic moments. Enjoy every one of them!
