Aqua Blue Bridesmaid Dresses

Aqua Blue Bridesmaid Dresses

Shades of aqua are extremely popular for bridesmaid dresses. From the palest hue to the brightest blaze, aqua can look great on a variety of skin tones. It's a fun color that exudes femininity without going the pink route (and some of us really don't want to take that road). But the best reason to go aqua? It's so versatile in a color palette! Pair it with other sherbet tones or pastels (above, right), or use it as your "neutral" against bright pops of cherry red, sunny yellows, or royal blues.

Aquas seem to range a bit, some are a little mintier while others seem to approach sky blue. But they all are very "beachy" shades to use, so they seem especially at home at waterfront weddings. This flowy dress above is formal in length, but more relaxed in style. Below, a halter dress in aqua is a perfect way to showcase a good tan (just remember to fill in any tan lines with bronzer before the big event).

If you want a more modern vibe, try aqua in lace (a bright hue like the one shown above keeps it from being too "darling") or with sexy cut-outs (below, right). Altering a peplum dress into a separate top means that after the wedding it can live on in your day-to-night outfits.

And don't ever be afraid to embrace prints in your bridesmaid dresses. These aqua prints are springy and fresh, which means they are both wedding ready and soon-to-be closet favorites.
