Willemien + Rhyno's Farm Wedding

Willemien + Rhyno's Farm Wedding

via

Willemien and Rhyno's Ou kraaltjie wedding is a typical farm stall wedding, held in a barn but made up beautifully. The decor is spectacular and fits the theme of the wedding very well. The day was captured by Howling Moon Photography and this team of photographic experts truly captured the essence of the day. The beautiful Ou Kraaltjie venue is just 30 minutes outside of Pretoria and definitely a venue to keep in mind. Willemien's beautiful dress was made by Chiqwawa Wedding Dresses and she truly looked amazing. Enjoy this idling tractor and rustic wedding with us, for it might be just what you had in mind.

I Propose | Elaborate on how the two of you met or on how the proposal went down.

We met on Facebook in 2010. We only chatted for about three months and Rhyno finally asked me on a date. We then dated a few months and in November 2010 I went to work in the States for 6 months. Since I got back we've been inseparable. The proposal was actually very simple. Rhyno said he just couldn't find a perfect moment to ask the question. We went on a date and afterwards in the parking lot he popped the big question. It was still very romantic.

Bride & Prejudice | Express some memorable experiences you had during the planning.

Our planning was kind of chaotic. Planning a wedding is very confusing, there is just so many ideas and every picture I looked at just looked beautiful. I was very thankful for every family member who helped with the wedding. Rhyno was very helpful with the making of easels, blackboards and wood storage boxes. We enjoyed late nights of laughter until our day arrived. The months that passed were chaotic, till the last minute. On our wedding day I was still busy painting blackboards, there was no "me-time", but when I arrived at the chapel everything was perfect and relaxed.

My Fair Wedding | Describe an event that you feel was unique or even funny.

The months of planning all came together perfectly. Rhyno and I wanted to have a farm wedding (rustic), yet intimate and relaxed at the same time. The weather was perfect for photos - we had a bit of rain, sunset, cloudy weather and a rainbow. Our wedding was relaxed and a typical farm wedding. It was just a really happy day having most of our family and friends there to witness our marriage and celebrate with us. Our wedding day just passed by so quickly, we hardly had any time to eat, since I just wanted to capture every moment on a picture.

Don't Tell The Bride | Reveal something that happened behind the scenes.

Nelson Mandela passed away a few weeks before our wedding and we couldn't find any white roses. Luckily we found another alternative.

Plan well and be organized. On your wedding day just let go and have fun. Get a good photographer (don't go for the cheapest one). Look at their albums. Keep your wedding small and personal. Enjoy your wedding day, because it goes by so quickly. Try to keep your wedding DIY
