A super sweet inspiration shoot to share with you all this Thursday morning all the way from across the Atlantic. We may be pining for long summer days, but that doesn't mean I've forgotten you winter brides! While we probably best know Maine as the perfect location for a New England inspired wedding, this shoot from Cait Kimball Photography was inspired by cold, crisp Maine winters. With simple styling, beautiful light, a gorgeous vintage lace dress and touches of gold adding hints of warmth, this is perfect inspiration for a winter wedding!
We wanted to create a vintage inspired winter bridal session capturing the beauty of winter and the lovely natural light. Winters here in Maine can be quite bone chilling, but we had a beautiful day to go play in the snow and take some gorgeous shots. We wanted a simple palette, natural but elegant. I wanted it to look as natural and simple as possible. As much as we love big extravagant weddings, we wanted to keep it simplistic and show that there is beauty in being natural, so we kept things simple and just picked the flowers from my yard before the session. I found the dress in a charity shop for $4, thrifting at it's finest! Stacia gave Savannah a natural look, nothing too dramatic to take away from the feel of the shoot. We kept her eyeshadow a neutral grey/brown, and lips a lovely blush pink. Her hair was naturally curly and gorgeous, so we kept that as is! Find more winter wedding ideas here.***
