The best of British loving was the direction today's couple opted to go down for their wedding day. With the groom being Danish, they wanted to throw a traditional British wedding for their international guests.

Lindsay and Kenneth married on the 8 th September 2013 at Brympton House, Someret; with the venue taking care of the flowers and pretty peach décor. The boys wore grey, the girls were in peach and Lindsay wore pretty lace.

So much elegance on a beautiful Autumnal day.

Thanks so very much to the wonderful Joseph Hall for sharing his photographs today.

The Dress + Accessories... DRESS: Donatello - Forget-Me-Not Designs. VEIL: Sabine II. SHOES: Coast Nikki Sandals. JEWELLERY: Vintage bracelet borrowed from my sister, local Somerset made silver necklace given to me as a present that morning from my husband-to-be and simple, silver drop earrings and bespoke white flower accessories found on EBay.

Groom's Attire... Hired grey suits from an independent hire shop in Surrey. Gave the best man and ushers pinky/peach cravats to match the bridesmaids, whilst the groom's was ivory to match the bride.

The Readings + Music... Music was really important to us, so we stretched our budget to get the band we really loved! After hours listening to demos online we found Munch through Alive Network. Would absolutely recommend using this website, as they have a huge variety of bands at different budgets, and make the whole process very easy and secure. We also hired a solo guitarist Andy Cherry though them, who was just fantastic playing light guitar music during our drinks reception. Munch were awesome! We received so many compliments about them and I've already put two friends in contact with them for future weddings.

I walked down the aisle to 'Moon River' from Breakfast at Tiffany's. It's a real tear jerker for me and even brings a tear to my hubby's eye when we hear it on the radio now.

First dance was a combination of 'I'm Yours' by Bruno Mars, which was played at every hotel and bar we visited on a holiday we took to Bali 3 years before, so always brings back happy memories of cocktails on the beach, and the traditional Danish Wedding Waltz, which ends with the groom being lifted up by all the men and having the tops of his socks cut off! Don't ask!

Beautiful Bridesmaids... 5 absolutely stunning bridesmaids and 3 cute pageboys. The older girls wore dresses from Mango and my 12 year old niece found a lovely dress from New Look, which went perfectly with the other ones. The boys wore light suits and converse trainers, so they could happily run around all day. The light suits remained stain free for about 1 hour!

The Cake... Made by my close friend Becky Learmont who makes her own cakes on the side from home. I think this was her first wedding cake and she did amazingly keeping to my quite specific peach and white brief, and as well as looking fantastic it tasted sooooo yummy!

I just adored Joseph's style, as I felt it had a slight quirkiness to it and a journalistic approach which allows him to capture all those funny and special moments that you, as the Bride and Groom, don't get to see, so I was so happy that Kenneth felt the same, and we were even more happy with Joseph's positive and friendly attitude, and how comfortable he is to be around. He was super kind to meet us at the venue a month or so before, so we could chat through possible location options for the photos and then on the day was an absolute gem in taking the most amazing photographs without being bossy or getting in the way. Would thoroughly recommend him!

The Details + Decor... Most of the décor was done in-house by the wonderful Ellie at Brympton House. She has a great blog where you can look at different colour palettes and themes, and past weddings at Brypmton for inspiration. I told her what I liked on her blog and from that she suggested the colour theme of 'Peaches & Cream with a hint of sparkle', which we loved. We opted for lots of pillar candles, lots of sparkly silver candle holders, a mirror table plan, white table cloths and napkins with grey bows, peach and white petals on the floor and as confetti and white pom-poms hanging over the dance floor. I added lots of love to the day with hanging hearts, heart necklaces as gifts for my bridesmaids, heart sweetie bags for all the guest rooms and heart themed stationery.

The Honeymoon... 5 weeks flash-packing around SE Asia. Truly amazing and a real adventure. Not only did we have days relaxing on a beach in Thailand, but also days exploring the temples at Angkor Wat in Cambodia, taking a quad bike ride in muddy rice fields and enjoying days in vibrant cities in Malaysia eating spicy curries. It was quite a challenge organising this on top of a wedding day, but it was a once-in-a-lifetime trip after a once-in-a-life time day!

Know your theme and try not to have too much going-on. I know I was overwhelmed at the beginning by all the colour choices and theme ideas. I bought all the wedding magazines and had a scrap book where I kept pictures of everything I liked, but after a couple of months it was just full of so much, I didn't know which direction to go in and which ideas to keep and drop. Once the colours and theme were chosen (and be quite specific), we just kept these in mind with every choice we made and this made everything much simpler and ultimately more pretty and un-fussy on the day. And it really is true that you just don't notice all the small details on the day, so try not to worry about them too much. If you love the venue, your dress and your friends can have a great party then that's all that really matters!
