Meet the Experts: Sasha Weddings

via

I have been discussing wedding photography a lot recently with a variety of people from Belle Brides to wedding photographers themselves. There has been a lot of interesting issues that have been discussed and thoughts provoked including making photographers more accessible to bride and grooms to be.

This is just one of the reasons why I love the Meet the Experts series so much. It gives you a chance to find out more about a vendor, see a further glimse into their personality, a little like an online dating profile, before you take it to the next step and set up a skype appointment.

It is with great pleasure that today I am introducing you to Sasha from Sasha Weddings who describes her style as "Silky Milky Vintage wedding photography dipped in vibrant colours" - ohh love this! Being involved in photography for over 10 years, Sasha has done work from studio photography to fashion. Sasha: " I then decided I loved photographing weddings most. Wedding photography reflects my personality, I like natural photos, I enjoy capturing genuine emotions and moments that are priceless.

When it comes to the skills of a wedding photographer -f or me It's important to tell a good story. I am spontaneous as well as organised. It takes intuition to be at the right place at the right moment and you have to be able to act fast at many occasions. Knowing your camera and the technical side of it is essential as amazing photos don't happen by accident, in most cases. The weddings I ususally shot are at barns, fields or Victorian Hotels that resemble a palace. During a wedding day, I like to make my clients feel at ease and comfortable. My clients have said that they like the fact the photos appear natural and not staged. I also offer stop-motion which is unusual for weddings, often at the end of the slideshow, either first dance or guest dancing having fun. Click here to see an example. I would describe my style as mixture of soft vintage with burst of vibrant colours. I love the way light works and the creative possibilities it gives me. I think my style is honest & natural. One of my favourite parts for weddings in France, is that personally I love travelling and it gives me experience a different culture, landscape, architecture and mainly a lot of sunshine. The best thing about being a wedding photographer? The variety and the creativity. I love shooting weddings, it's real life and it's liberating. The product that I'm delivering is hundreds of photos that all matter, it's not just one or five photos like it would be in the editorial world. I am there to shoot all day no matter what the light conditions are, no matter what the location is. I like the chaos that comes with it and that you never know what it's going to be like and you spontaneously come up with ideas and create images that last for always. I love what I do and I think it shows in the images I create. I offer a range of services, all day coverage, right from the start, you get everything you need for your gorgeous wedding photography, with no limit on time and no limit on images taken. I like to offer also something a little different - stop motion, a technique which involves taking series of images to create a short movie. There are also beautiful wedding book, printed on fine art archival paper. The books are stunning quality - lovely thick papers, solid leather cover and excellent colour re-production.

I offer discounts on weddings Monday - Thursday and Winter weddings. "
