It's always a pleasure to get to know members of the WWW family and today I am delighted to be talking to Kate Mooney; the CEO of Occa-Home.

My name is Kate Mooney and I'm the CEO of online interior design store Occa-Home. I also have three children and my husband, James, is the Sales Director at Occa-Home. Interiors definitely run in my family and when I was growing up, my parents ran a business that focused on soft furnishings and interiors. I would definitely say that I live and breathe design!

I love working with such fabulous products! We're very privileged to get to work with some phenomenal brands and designers and every day is completely different. I feel very lucky to work in such a dynamic and changing environment, it's so inspiring!

My background is in architecture and in 2003 I set up my own design practice called Occa-Design and worked with lots of big hotel brands on their interior design projects. It became clear to me that people were really excited about the gorgeous interior schemes and furnishings that appeared in hotels and I wanted to make these accessible to everyone, and so I started Occa-Home in 2009.

We recently began our wedding gift list service out of a desire to share our fabulous product range combined with our interior design knowledge, with couples who are setting up their first homes. We're keen to show that, by choosing carefully and adding a few signature pieces to your scheme, you can harness your own inner designer to express your personal style and character in your home. We can work to a variety of budgets and have so much choice available that brides and grooms can have something unique and special.
