Do you want to get married somewhere as unique and romantic as you? Who doesn't! Our most popular wedding venue in Zante, Greece is the stunning Cameo Island, a small private island connected to the mainland by a long wooden bridge.

Zakynthos is also known as Zante and was named the flower of the East by Venetian merchants. With soft sandy blue flag beaches, historic mountain villages and spectacular cliffs, caves and bays it is the perfect destination for a wedding with something for everyone.

Cameo Island is available for private hire, meaning you can enjoy its secluded beach, breathtaking sea views and crystal clear waters all to yourself (and your friends and family of course!). With such a stunning wedding venue, it is possible to create the perfect romantic wedding whatever your budget!

Here are our 5 secrets to creating the perfect wedding on Cameo Island.

1. How about having live music during your ceremony?

Having live music at a wedding gives an air of elegance and sophistication. And if those musicians are Greek, you're also offering your guests a taste of what a traditional Greek wedding may have been like. Live music works especially well for the magical moment the bride enters and as background music following the ceremony during the drinks reception. However Greek music isn't your only option.

If you're you lucky enough to have talented guests why not ask them to perform? This can make your wedding feel more personal, with the added bonus of helping your budget go further. If you're budget doesn't extend to live music then why not create your own playlist on CD and 'treat' your guests to some of your favourite music.

2. Personalise your actual wedding ceremony.

The actual ceremony is a fundamental part of any wedding day, but this doesn't mean it has to be boring and stuffy! A simple, effective way to add a touch of romance and fun is to personalise your wedding vows or ask close family and friends to share their favourite readings. Alternatively you could incorporate a sand ceremony, very fitting for a beach wedding!

The flowing sand in the sand ceremony symbolises the bringing together of two lives into one and everything that the bride and groom have been or will become in the future. The blending of the wedding sand represents the union not only of them but also of their friends and families as well. They are forever entwined just as the lives and love of the bride and groom.

3. Focus on the details.

Do you love to be creative? Making programmes to tell your guests about your story is a lovely personal touch. Include details of how you and your partner met, your engagement story, your wedding planning journey and details of the wedding day itself. This will be a great memento of the day and you can leave them on guest's seats so they have something to read on arrival and set the tone of the day.

4. Have your wedding ceremony as close to sunset as possible.

There is something so romantic about saying your 'I do's' with the stunning setting sun as your backdrop. It's warm array of colours dancing on the sea.

5. Intimate moments.

Once your guests have left for the reception venue, take some time out, just the two of you and have the photographer capture some of these moments. Whether it's walking barefoot along the beach, sharing a loving kiss with your feet in the water or walking into the sunset on the jetty. You'll be spoilt for choice with so many gorgeous photo opportunities.

The results are guaranteed to be incredible and the photos will be with you for a lifetime!
