Vintage Reception With Steal-Worthy Ideas

Yes ... you have to read on to see all the steal- worthy wedding details, but guarantee it will be worth it. You will love every second of Madison and Chris' wedding. They really wanted to show off Texas and all that it had to offer, but without the typical cowboy boots and long horn references. Instead they threw one heck of an elegant country shindig with lots of vintage elements that are so fabulous we are sure you will be wanting to steal them for your big day!

Designed and Coordinated by The Simplifiers and beautifully captured by Sunny 16 Photography be sure to check out even more in the full gallery here, and of course see their wedding film.

We really lucked out on the weather - it cleared up exactly in time for the ceremony. We were a little fearful of rain but it held off and the sun came out as people were sitting down for the ceremony. After everyone was safely on the bus a massive downpour opened up! Maddy looked absolutely stunning as she came up the aisle. She had a beautiful and excited smile on her face and the sun had just cleared for her and brought all the beautiful highlights out in her hair. Some of my friends have absolutely dreaded the planning stages of their own weddings, but I loved every minute of it! I loved being so involved and we really took the time to carefully think and plan out every moment of our entire wedding weekend because we wanted to make it as personal as possible. This took us a solid year to achieve even with the addition of a wedding planner and coordinator. My only advice would be to not rush this process, revel in it! Revel in everything! Most likely this will be the biggest event in your life that you share with your family and friends, you'll look and feel your absolute best and you'll wish it didn't go by so quickly.

Before dinner guests had cocktails and socialized. There were two seating areas for guests - table and chairs with lovely floral arrangements in mason jars and then there was a second area with vintage couches and chairs for guests to relax in.

When it was time for guests to have dinner they picked up their wedding favor which also lead them to their wedding table.

So easy to recreate! Tie up gold house numbers and your favorite hard backs with a small length of tulle, place one at each table and you have an elegant centerpiece that will impress all of your guests.

We have to take a moment and do a shout out to Rosehip Floral for designing some of the prettiest arrangements we have seen. From the cherry blossom table centerpieces to the little mercury vases filled with spring florals. Truly beautiful wedding floral arrangements ... don't you think?

And ... Walton's Fancy And Staple designed a bride and groom cake. It has to be on our top ten groom's cake list. Simple, elegant, and we bet it tastes delicious as well.

I really recommend shelling out for the photographer and videographer. You can't be everywhere at once as much as you would like to, at this amazing party you've just spent a year planning for! However, you just simply can't. We almost did not get a videographer and it was actually a last minute decision, but I'm so glad we did! They captured so many moments I was not able to be a part of and of course I will always cherish being able to watch us retelling our vows to each other.
