This afternoon I am thrilled to be getting to know and view the portfolio of London based wedding and portrait photographer Chiron Cole. Chiron creates honest natural photographs and I just adore the moments she captures from the couples she works with.

Hello, I'm both a photographer and an actress and have been enjoying both careers for about six years. I studied Graphic Arts & Design at Leeds Met where I did a lot of photography as part of my degree, before moving down to London and going to drama school at ArtsEd to train as an actress. I'd wanted to do both jobs but couldn't choose both options in school so did one after the other. After drama school I put the two together and started to shoot actors headshots alongside auditioning, then decided to venture into weddings, enabling me to tell stories in a different way.

I love the diversity and meeting so many different kinds of people. I love the fact that no two days are the same and that my job can take me to the most random places. In all honesty I don't think there's anything I hate because I'm able to earn a living by being creative and telling stories.

I always wanted to work for myself and I've always been creative and loved photography. I started shooting actor friends for experience during and after drama school. I then began shooting weddings, often with my husband Tim who's an amazing advertising and lifestyle photographer (I'm a bit biased), after a friend of ours asked us to shoot their wedding a few years back. They were so happy with the results that we decided that I should do it full time and 95% of the time when he's not shooting we'll do it together.

I aim to capture beautiful, natural, honest moments whether I'm shooting a portrait or a wedding. It's important for anyone who hires me to feel comfortable around me.

I find it easiest to only have one package. I find extra add ons and hourly rates can overcomplicate something that is already quite complicated. I am happy to tailor a quote for you if you require less time though.

Weddings for 2014 are £1300
Weddings for 2015 are £1500

Fall in love with their work. Look at the atmosphere of the images. Look at the subject's eyes. Look at the colour treatment they use, will it suit you/your day? Read testimonials, look at their social media. There are lots of ways you can tell if you'll be a good fit with a photographer.
