Sarah and Rob held their rustic traditional wedding day on the 12 th October 2013 at The Rectory Hotel, Cotswolds. It was important that they had an intimate and relaxing day surrounded by their family and friends.

There were beautiful blush colours running through their wedding; from the bridesmaids in peachy Ted Baker dresses to the most divine rose bouquet.

And how gorgeous did Sarah look in her Benjamin Roberts lace dress with perfectly styled side chignon? So chic.

Huge thanks goes to Jamie Waters for sharing his wonderful images today.

THE PROPOSAL | A surprise weekend to London. 10 cards with 10 surprises, each card revealing a little bit more about what we were up to over the weekend, with the final surprise being the proposal.

We stayed at the Corinthia Hotel near Embankment which for anyone wanting to treat themselves to a little bit of pure Luxury then this is the hotel to stay at. The Spa is amazing and the location and views from the Hotel are hard to beat. The hotel was fantastic and they even upgraded us when they found out what Rob was up to. The last surprise was wrapped up in a book which Rob had made with photos from the 10 years we had been together, from meeting at University to present day with lots of great memories along the way. The last page in the photo book had a question for Sarah. Thankfully Sarah said yes and we headed out to celebrate at Heston Blumenthal's restaurant 'Dinner' at the Mandarin Oriental. The Sunday was spent enjoying the amazing Spa at the Hotel and treatments and then looking for a ring at the Jewellery Quarter in Hatton Gardens.

THE VISION | The main vision for our wedding day was for us to be surrounded by all our friends and family. We also really wanted to make the most of the beautiful Cotswolds which we are so lucky to have on our doorstep. We planned to create an intimate and relaxing day mixing traditional elements with rustic touches to create our dream wedding. This was perfectly reflected by the venues we choose, the small yet full of character St Peter's Church in Cirencester and the Rectory Hotel in Crudwell a laid back Country House with lots of Cotswolds character and contemporary style.

THE PLANNING PROCESS | It's fair to say that we aren't the best at making decisions which probably made the planning process a little harder than it should have been. Due to our lack of decision making it meant we left a few aspects of the planning to the last minute but with amazing suppliers and venues combined with lots of help from our wonderful families and close friends we managed to organise just about organise everything in time and the day was even better than we ever could have imagined.

THE VENUE | Our wedding reception was held at the Rectory Hotel in the small Cotswold village of Crudwell. It is a Cotswold stone building full of character set within walled gardens which were the perfect setting for our wedding photographs. The Rectory is a traditional Country house on the outside and a stylish mix of old and new furnishing and décor on the inside.

The Rectory was the first venue we viewed and nothing else compared. All of the staff at the Rectory were so friendly and Charlie, the wedding planner, was fantastic she couldn't have been more helpful during our preparations and on the wedding day. In addition to being our dream venue the food was fantastic and we received many compliments from our guests.

THE DRESS & ACCESSORIES | The dress was from Benjamin Roberts but Sarah added her own special alterations including the addition of scallop lace straps. Sarah kept it elegant and simple with pearl accessories.

FINDING THE DRESS | The perfect dress takes time right! Sarah had a clear idea of what she wanted for her dress and after visiting several bridal shops found an elegant lace dress that she made some alterations to create her dream wedding dress.

GROOM'S ATTIRE | To compliment the blush pink bridesmaids dresses, Rob wore a light grey suit and waistcoat, white shirts, pink and cream tie, black shoes and a cream rose button hole.

THE READINGS & MUSIC | The Bride's entrance was Pachelbel's Cannon in D. As a wedding present our good friend Animesh Raval (a very talented musican) kindly composed and recorded a wonderful piece of piano music for the signing of the register. This made the day all the more memorable. The Recessional was the Wedding March by Mendelssohn.

BEAUTIFUL BRIDESMAIDS | Beautiful blush pink lace dresses from Ted Baker and nude shoes.

THE FLOWERS | Our bouquets and buttonholes were arranged by Jill Jefferies who did an amazing job. Sarah loves Peonies, but unfortunately due to the time of year that this was not possible however Jill managed to create a similar affect by using a mix of beautiful blush pink and nude roses complimented with Lilly of the valley .

The Rectory hotel has so much character we kept the flowers at the Reception simple but elegant with a mix of pale pink, green and cream hydrangeas.

THE CAKE | To keep costs down we decided on the simple Romantic Pearl Assorted Wedding Cake from Marks and Spencers and decorate it with a pale pink lace ribbon.

YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER | Jamie Waters Photography. We can't recommend Jamie highly enough. We are both quite shy in front of the camera but Jamie was so friendly and relaxed that he really put us at ease. We were so pleased with the photos as Jamie captured the whole day and the final images were better than we could have ever imagined.

THE DETAILS & DECOR | As the Rectory was is so full of character the décor was quite simple and rustic in the marquee with wicker hearts and touches of lace and blush pink on the tables to add a romantic feel.

THE HONEYMOON | An unforgettable trip to South Africa for just over a week. Flying to Cape Town to see all the local sights and learn more about how SA become the rainbow nation. Table Mountain, Robben Island, Whale Watching, Cape of Good Hope and the Cape Penusila to mention just a few of the highlights. We then travelled on to Port Elizabeth and from there we stayed on the Shamwari Game Reserve for a 3 days of Safari. We were lucky enough to see Rhinos, Elephants, Lions, Giraffes, Buffalo, and lots more. Last leg of the trip was the beautiful Mauritius where we kicked back and relaxed at the wonderful Long Beach hotel.

MEMORABLE MOMENTS | The whole day was fantastic but a couple of moments really stand out.

The Church service was perfect and having Sarah's Uncle, Father Liam O'Connell SJ, fly over from Dublin to officiate at the service made it all the more special and memorable. Seeing Sarah for the first time at the alter was Rob's highlight, she looked even more stunning and beautiful than I had imagined. Also having all your family and friends in one place is brilliant and so much fun, especially as everyone seemed to being mixing and having a fantastic time.

ADVICE FOR OTHER COUPLES | Start planning early (not too early!) but we probably left some of it too late and it was a bit more stressful than it needed to be. Relax and enjoy it on the day and try and sit back and take it all in, it's a cliché we know but the day really does fly by!
