Colourful Fairy Garden Dried Flower Filled Wedding | Whimsical Wonderland Weddings

WWW readers Miriam and Shemi married on the 8 th August 2013 at the stunning Larmer Tree Gardens, Wiltshire. They envisioned a "Gone with the Fairies" wedding, which was set outside and filled with colour, flowers and cupcakes.

I love the relaxed feel to their day, with games in the gardens, huge smiles and beautiful dried flowers.

Bride Miriam looked utterly beautiful in her vintage Ghost blush dress and flower crown, while Shemi looked awesome in a blue velvet jacket. Just too cool.

Thanks so very much Razia Jukes for sharing her wonderful fresh images with us today.

THE PROPOSAL | A 'should we go and buy an engagement ring' kind of affair.

THE VISION | "Gone with the fairies" wedding with colour, flowers and cupcakes. An intimate event with close friends and family. Larmer Tree Gardens provided the natural feel that we were looking for. We wanted an outside wedding but as this is not possible in the UK, the venue that opened up to the guests sitting outside was ideal. The peacocks running around the place sealed the deal.

THE PLANNING PROCESS | Some aspects of the planning process were very straight forward, such as choosing the food and drinks. We made our own decorations and the bridesmaids helped out with hair and make-up. The most difficult part was coordinating the bridesmaids' dresses considering that one of the bridesmaids was living in Greece.

THE VENUE | Larmer Tree Gardens - Lower Indian Room.

THE DRESS | Ghost dress. I found the dress at a vintage shop in Bath during my hen do.

GROOM'S ATTIRE | Blue velvety jacket and raspberry coloured trousers from Topman.

THE READINGS & MUSIC | The readings were The Good Morrow by John Dunne and Maria Polydouri (part of a letter). Music - Bach's cello suites, The Butterfly (traditional Irish Jig), Start Wearing Purple by the Gogol Bordello

BEAUTIFUL BRIDESMAIDS | Bride's little sister and best friend.

THE FLOWERS | dried flowers (so that they keep) - English roses.

THE CAKE | selection of cupcakes.

YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER | Razia Jukes.

THE HONEYMOON | We went back to Greece to accompany the bride's family and visited some of the coastlines in central and northern Greece.

MEMORABLE MOMENTS | When my husband asked me if the wedding was what I had hoped for and replying that it was better than I had ever imagined.

ADVICE FOR OTHER COUPLES | Don't spend money on things that you can make yourself or things that are expensive just because they have the word 'wedding' attached to them. Instead invest in things that will make a difference such as the venue and the photographer.
