Beautiful Pink & Sage Wedding at Warwick House with a Justin Alexander Dress | Whimsical Wonderland Weddings

WWW readers Stacey and Ben chose to marry on the 18 th April 2014, which gave them just 14 weeks to plan their wedding day. They opted to hold their nuptials at Warwick House which provided the perfect backdrop to their family focused wedding day.

With a sage and pink colour scheme there were bountiful roses, pretty frocks and sweet touches. Stacey looked divine in a lace Justin Alexander dress and cathedral veil. Gorgeous.

Thanks so very much to Lucius Fox Photography for sharing their lovely photographs this afternoon.

THE PROPOSAL | Ben proposed Christmas Eve 2009. We had gone out for a meal to start the festivities with it being out first Christmas together. As we left the restaurant and began walking down the parade under the Christmas lights Ben dropped to one knee and popped the question. It was so simple but so beautiful there was not a single person or car in sight it felt like it was just the 2 of us in the centre of the town.

THE VISION | We were looking forward to having our whole family altogether enjoying themselves and everybody getting to know everyone and being one big family.

THE PLANNING PROCESS | Well as we got engaged in 2009 we had 2 little surprises pregnancies follow in 2010 and 2011 which put a stop to the wedding instead we wanted to concentrate on our little boys. We finally booked our wedding very suddenly in January 2014 which left us 14 weeks to plan everything!! We enjoyed every moment of the planning it made it really exciting knowing we were on a deadline.

BUDGET | We had a 6k budget which we some how managed to stick to. It was really difficult trying to budget knowing we had so much to pay out for and such little time to save but we did It ☺

THE VENUE | we had our wedding at Warwick House in Southam Warwickshire. I kept seeing this venue advertised on different internet pages and had a look at there website. I loved the photos they had on there so I then ordered a brochure and then found that we were going to an open evening a few weeks later. As soon as we pulled into the car park we both loved it straight away, everything about it was just us. We loved that it was solely ours for the day, there were different rooms where we were able to have our ceremony and also a beautiful gazebo outside in the gardens which I completely fell in love with!

THE DRESS & ACCESSORIES | I had been looking at princess style dresses ever since Ben had proposed but as soon as it actually came to setting the date I went for something completely different. I had been searching the internet and as I love lace I had mainly been searching Justin Alexander dresses and I came across style 8530. I went into True Romantica Bridal in Kenilworth with my Mum and Dad to try this dress on and I knew straight away it was 'the one' I didn't even need to look at anything else, the shop assistants were completely amazed I had my mind set after the first dress I tried on. It came with an amazing cathedral length veil which was just stunning! My 2 brothers bought me a Linzi Jay Headband which went perfectly with my dress.

GROOM'S ATTIRE | Ben hired a tailed charcoal grey suit with ivory waistcoat and sage green cravat. Nothing too special, but matching the colour scheme we had in mind.

THE SPEECHES & MUSIC | I walked down the aisle to Sam Smith Latch his acoustic version, the first time I heard this song the words were just everything I felt for Ben. Throughout the day all the music was personal songs to me and Ben which was a little story of our 5 year relationship we even had songs that our 2 boys were born too.

The speeches were amazing I felt so proud of my Dad, Ben and his best man Rich. As I am the only girl in my family my Dad was so proud and I knew he was going to really struggle with his speech but he did get through it. Ben's speech was really emotional and there wasn't a dry eye in the room once he had finished. The best mans speech was brilliant, so many jokes but little personal moments in there too he actually received a standing ovation from everyone.

BEAUTIFUL BRIDESMAIDS | I had 2 bridesmaids my oldest best friends Hayley - we have been friends since we were toddlers and Steph - we've been friends for 9 years and had a flat together which Ben sneakily moved into as well.

I had them both dressed in sage green Grecian style bridesmaids dresses, they looked beautiful as they both have dark brown hair which was curled and tied up into a side bun and little ivory roses going into the side of the bun.

THE FLOWERS | As my surname previously was Rose I always wanted my main flowers to be roses, I loved anemones too. I went into Regency Flowers in Leamington Spa the lady I spoke with was brilliant and could tell she knew what I was kind of going for. I was amazed with the flowers they were exactly how I was hoping they would be.

THE CAKE | Our very close friend Becky made our cake. This was something we wasn't overall too bothered about so didn't want to spend a fortune on it so Becky kindly made it for us as our wedding gift.

YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER | One word .... Amazing!!! We came across Matt - Lucius Fox Photography on Facebook as he had been a guest at my friends wedding and had taken a few photos from then I started following his work, in the winter he was doing family photo shoots in local parks so I booked a slot for my little family and was blown away with the shots he got. I have never been great at photos and always have been very negative about photos that have been taken of me but he has an amazing eye for detail and the photos he got of our wedding are stunning and so natural.

THE DETAILS & DÉCOR | We wanted a shabby chic themed wedding and our colour scheme was Sage and Pink. We had chalkboards with garland flowers wrapped around, rustic hearts around the building and lots of candles. We made little sweet jars and all the sweets tied in with the colour scheme then had lace covered over and tied up with twine.

The venue was so beautiful there wasn't much we needed to change it was just a few added touches.

THE HONEYMOON | The night after our wedding we stayed in a lovely hotel in Stratford and went to dinner with champagne it was lovely just to spend some quality time together just the 2 of us. We are planning to go away for a weekend later in the year, and hopefully 4 days in New York at Christmas time.

MEMORABLE MOMENTS | On the morning of the wedding whilst we were getting ready my mum handed me her pearl earrings she wore on her wedding day, it was a beautiful moment for the 2 of us as I'm the only girl I knew it really meant something to her to pass something down to me.

My father daughter dance was lovely, my Dad knew nothing about it so it was so nice to surprise him. I had spent weeks trailing through songs of something that was perfect for how much he means to me and came across Michael Buble - Close Your Eyes. I cried the first time I heard it as it was just the message I wanted to get across to him how I felt.

A very close friend of ours wasn't able to be at our wedding as he was in the army and wasn't due back for a few weeks after the wedding. He had pre recorded us a video message which was able to be put on a projector for everyone to see.

ADVICE FOR OTHER COUPLES | Take in every moment and relax. I was so nervous walking down the aisle I didn't lift my head to look at anyone until I was nearly by Ben and I kick my self now that I didn't get a chance to see people's reaction.

Take your time - Its your day!
