#159: mint velvet

Written by: louise

Mint is one of my favourite wedding colours, it's pretty and girly without being saccharine, and can be used in combination with lots of different colours. This week we're working with classic neutrals to create an understated wedding look. With a simple palette (using just two or three colours) you need texture to bring the whole look to life, here I've teamed a luxurious linen suit (& tie!) for the groom with floaty tulle & lace dresses for the bride & her maids, and I adore the use of velvety succulents and foliage which add a lovely softness contrasted with metallic gold.

For a laid-back country house wedding or contemporary city-chic celebration, this look is the perfect balance rustic romance and timeless elegance.
