Now I have to be honest here and tell you that green is not my favourite colour. It has just never appealed to me in the same way as gorgeous shades of blue and grey. But having seen this shoot - I have to say that I now see green in a whole new light!!

The sheer number of different shades of green on show here is unbelievable...the vibrant and fresh apple green, the muted and slightly grey sage green, the richness of ivy green and the yellowness of the young budding flowers. All created by nature. Amazing.

I mean just look at that table scape below...it's like a glimpse into a hidden tropical garden of Eden!

I love the idea behind the shoot too - just because you are getting married in a rustic venue, doesn't mean that you have to compromise on the glamour!

Zoe & Dom:Our rustic glamour styled barn shoot was set at York Maze in North Yorkshire, and was designed to inspire stylish couples opting for a more relaxed and quirky outdoor/barn wedding in a beautiful rural setting. The maze has a range of timber and brick barns with an open south facing wooden terrace, surrounded by fields. Couples have exclusive use of the venue and the ability to decorate the barns in any way they wish, bringing their vision to life. Guests are welcome to camp on site.

We used wild and natural displays of flowers, featuring rustic elements of moss and bark, to compliment the barn and surroundings. A fresh and crisp palette of white and apple green was used to create a huge burst of spring fresh colour amongst the natural tones of the maze.

Anemones, ranunculus, stocks, lilac, hypericum, spirea, paper whites, hyacinth, tulips, fountain grass, fern, olive and green bell are just a few of the flowers which were used to create this rustic, but glamorous wedding scene.

To create a relaxed but stylish setting the barns were filled with strings of festoon lights and draped fabric. The ceremony barn featured an oversized wreath full of textured foliage and fern. Pretty hand picked style groupings of flowers were displayed on log stumps with candles along the aisle. Streams of flowing ribbon hung from the wedding stage adding softness and pops of vibrant colour.

A wooden swing was hung above the top table displaying a wild design of white flowers and trailing foliage. The table was dressed with green glass bowls filled with grapes and apples mixed with spring flowers. Glass bottles filled with flowers added to the crisp look. Ribbons were used through the centre of the table adding spring shades of fresh green. White linen kept the table looking fresh enhancing the flowers and quirky apple name place settings. Giant illuminated letters added impact to the stage area, setting the scene for the evening celebrations.

The Bridal gowns featured are Ivonne by Enzoani, The Glasgow by Blue by Enzoani and Loucia in Platinum by Anouska G London. They are stylish and utterly feminine, accompanied by HF Couture's exquisite detailed headdresses - the Bride looks ultra glamorous.
