Sarah eagerly waited for Michael to pop the question, not thinking he would be able to surprise her. On Christmas morning, Sarah went to go make some coffee, and discovered a ring in the cup of their new latte machine. "At first I thought it was a loose screw in the machine, but then he got down on one knee. I was the one who lost a screw and started bawling," Sarah exclaims.

Their big day featured a colour palette of neutrals and creams, adding to the rustic chic vibe. By incorporating Sarah's favourite flower, daisies, and her grandmother's doilies, this couple created a romantic atmosphere that was elegant and welcoming. The centrepieces were wood disks taken from a fallen tree on an island at Lake of the Woods where the couple spent their summers.

"At the ceremony, we hammered shut a vintage wooden box that we filled with all of our Facebook messages (today's love letters), our vows, and expensive bottles of red wine and bourbon. We'll open it whenever times get tough to remember why we fell in love," shares Sarah.
