Festival Wedding Part 2 - Craig and Lianne

via

Yesterday we bought you Craig and Lianne's cool festival wedding at Woodchester Mansion. Read all about it here... Today is Part 2 and its all about the lights. It helps that groom Craig owns a projections company so you can really see how they went to town with the atmospheric lighting and design!!

I honestly can't pick one, the whole day was amazing. I do recall on several occasions just looking around at everyone, smiling and laughing and having a really enjoyable time and thinking 'yep, this is was I wanted, this is why I spent so long planning everything' and just feeling very happy with it all. Looking back at it now (and also looking at the photos) I just remember so many happy faces, and we had several people tell us it was the most fun wedding they'd been too.

Do you have any advice for couples planning their wedding day?

Don't stress about the little things! I got really stressed about 2 months before the wedding because I could not decide what to do about tablecloths for the indoor picnic. It took days and days of looking at tablecloths on the internet, before I decided on the vintage check tablecloths to give the idea of picnic blankets, and then more days searching on ebay for the right ones. I don't think anybody even noticed the tablecloths! And honestly, on the day, neither did I. It's the general theme and atmosphere and the bigger details that people notice - the flowers, what the food is served on, the music choices and also the bits that are personal to you that matter.

Also, even if you don't see the point in getting a videographer, try and get somebody to film the speeches. It's my one regret. The best men speeches especially were brilliant, I cried with laughter and it's a shame we can't watch them back.

Miln & James Duo - We saw these play in the local pub of the village of Ulley (just down the road from the venue) when we visited the venue 4 months before the wedding just to go over some stuff. We thought they were ace and asked them if they could play at the wedding. They initially said no as they had another gig that day, but when they realised how close it was, and we said they could have the early slot they agreed.

Inca Gold - Both my brothers are in this band!

The Gendarmes - An ex employee of Craig's. They got lost on the way to the venue and nearly didn't make it in time.

DJ: DJ Dellamorte - An old friend of mine who I hadn't seen for years, but having DJ'd at my birthday party many years ago I could think of nobody better.

Ceremony Venue: Woodchester Mansion.

Music: I walked down the aisle to Nick Cave's 'Into My Arms'. During the signing of the register we had Gorky's Zygotic Mynci 'Patio Song' and Beirut's 'Postcard from Italy' and then we exited the room to Queen's 'Don't Stop Me Now'

Bride's Dress: Charlie Brear - 1920.1 LALIQUE DRESS

Bride's Shoes: Marc by Marc Jacobs silver 20s style heels

Bride's Headpiece/Veil (if worn): The veil was by Sarah Morgan (on Etsy) and in the evening I swapped this for a gorgeous jewelled and feather headband by Victoria Millesime (which I saw about a year before I even bought the dress and was very pleased that I was still able to get it when I didn't see anything better)

Bride's Jewellery: Vintage pearl necklace and a vintage art deco style gold watch bought on ebay (the watch is inscribed with 'A.S to C.B Xmas 1943) which I thought was rather adorable.

Groom's Outfit: Yellow trousers and blue patterned blazer from Ted Baker, Paul Smith floral shirt and blue boots by Kenzo.

Bridesmaid's Dresses: We didn't really go for the matchy dress thing - one bridesmaid was my gay friend Jonny, he wore navy trousers and a fabulous pink blazer, and Eliza wore navy trousers, pink heels and a leather jacket.

Entertainment (Band/DJ): Miln & James Duo, Inca Gold, The Gendarmes, DJ: DJ Dellamorte

Stationery: Start of the Road branding by my brother Jordan Chatwin. Invites were recovered 7 inch singles (handpicked to the person).
