Stephanie Do Couto and Alain Michon, October 12, 2013, Ottawa, Ontario.

October 12, 2013

For their wedding day Stephanie and Alain envisioned a formal affair filled with sophisticated accents. The couple's ceremony took place at the Notre-Dame Cathedral Basilica, one of Ottawa's most beautiful churches, followed by a reception at the Fairmont Château Laurier. The couple chose a luxurious cream and black colour palette for their reception accented with glittering crystal details. Tables were topped black linens and towering hydrangea and orchid centrepieces to complement the grandeur of the Fairmont Château Laurier's Adam Room. "All of the guests were wowed by the decor at our reception. Everyone especially loved the cake, which was a beautiful chocolate and vanilla confection!" shares Stephanie.

Stephanie says her favourite moment of the day came when she saw Alain at the altar. "The stress both of us were feeling about the day magically melted when we saw each other," she explains. "Our wedding day was absolutely perfect from start to finish."
