High-Low Wedding Dresses

High-Low Wedding Dresses

Certainly not for the average bride, the high-low wedding dress trend provides a bold and modern take on hemlines. Some high-low dresses are total rock-n-roll, like this cropped top tulle number (above). Others are still full of romance and whimsy, such as these two full skirts below.

For those that love the high-low hemline, but also love a princess gown, there are plenty of options for you. First, the high part of the hem isn't really that high. In the dresses above and below, the highest part of the hem is still lower than a tea-length. However, it is just the right amount of drama to an otherwise voluminous wedding dress. This allows you just enough space to show off that killer pair of heels you spent so much on!

For brides who want a cleaner, more classic look, try one of these two (below) slightly retro dresses. The dress on the left might be utterly plain, but the swooping hemline adds a little wink of novelty. Want to wear this trend to the courthouse? This strapless pink dress (below, right) is simple and sweet, and can be easily worn at future occasions.

But, most likely, if you are thinking about wearing a high-low wedding dress, you are wanting an absolute showstopper of a dress, one that is a little more dramatic and sexy. Above, this high hemline is given a little extra pop with sheer panels. Below, get ready to show off those gams! These thigh-high glam gowns are certainly not for the meek! The sheer and lace paneled dress (below, left) is accentuated with a gigantic silk bow and yards and yards of full skirt behind. In the case of the princess dress on the right, the train might be lengthy and traditional, but the front is high and curve-hugging.

Lastly, this seemingly demure lace sheath (above) gets a does of the high-low trend with this cutout in the front. Perfect for the bride who wants to show off all of that hard work in the gym!
