Pink, Popcorn & Peonies shoot for Bridal Musings

Written by: louise

Eeeep! I'm so excited to share the pics from this super pretty shoot, photographed by Marianne Taylor, that I styled recently for the super stylish girls at Bridal Musings. Founder and Editor-in-Chief Elizabeth and I started blogging around the same time back in 2011 and it's been so fun to share the journey so far! Bridal Musings has grown into one of the biggest wedding blogs in the world, filled with super inspirational, chic and unique content from real weddings to beauty DIY's and a one-of-a-kind film gallery featuring a tear-jerking selection of the very best wedding videos. Oh and a rather EPIC Pinterest following! While Elizabeth travels the world with her husband keeping an eye on all the latest trends and meeting the very best suppliers, while Editor Claire looks after things right here in the UK.

When Elizabeth got in touch with me over at Louise Beukes Styling to say she was touching down in London for a few days, and would I be available to create something for her, of course the answer was yes! Having followed Bridal Musings from the beginning, it was easy to come up with the fabulous concept to 'bring Bridal Musings to life'. Bring on the gold sequins, pink peonies, popcorn and of course Elizabeth's trademark red lipstick....

The shoot took place in the gorgeous Nash & Brandon Rooms at the Institute of Contemporary Arts on The Mall, the elegant contemporary interior providing the perfect backdrop! I created a celebratory dessert table, with gold sequin linen from The Sweet Hostess, the sweetest treats from Anges De Sucre and Nila Holden, and a stunning peony-topped gold heart cake by Olofson Design which revealed layers of pink & red ombre red velvet inside. Blue Sky Flowers created stunning red, pink & coral floral arrangements packed with the prettiest peonies and roses, and made a giant faux floral heart!

These two pretty ladies were made even more gorgeous by the talented hands of make-up artist Mariam Jensen and Sev from Hepburn Collection who created those fabulous waves. These clever girls have even shared how to get the look - see Claire's easy braided upstyle here and how to make Elizabeth's pretty floral hair slide here.

This was such a fun shoot to work on! You can see more on Bridal Musings and keep an eye out for some more stylish DIY tutorials too!
