All of the weddings we feature on RMW are beautiful. But sometimes one pops up that is filled to the brim with your favourite things and you can't help falling in love with it a bit...

Well, for me - this is one of those weddings.

Rose and Tom married at Rose's family home in a marquee, a combination which never fails to create a completely personal, relaxed and carefree atmosphere. There's just something so magical about the glow and hum of a marquee as the sun begins to set and the party begins.

My dream wedding dress would be something completely bespoke and one-of-a-kind and Rose was lucky enough to wear a dress made for her by a local seamstress. She looks beautiful. And that dress will be something she can treasure forever.

Flowers are also an essential part of a wedding for me and Rose's choice of a sunset colour scheme resulted in some of the most beautiful blooms I've EVER SEEN at a wedding.

And I also love that Rose wore a flower crown (as per family tradition) AND a veil. Because there really is only one occasion in a girl's life when she can wear a flower crown and a veil!

Honestly, this is one of my favourite weddings ever. Rose and Tom - thank you for having such a beautiful wedding and thank you Kari Bellamy for capturing it so wonderfully.

Rose the Bride:When I got engaged I couldn't wait to try on wedding dresses and so I dragged my Mum and sisters around 8 boutiques and probably tried on 50 dresses! But I really struggled to find the perfect dress and I only found 2 dresses that came anywhere close and were out of my budget. I knew I wanted the dress to be lace and I wanted it to be comfortable and to suit a garden party wedding. Mum did a bit of asking around and was recommended a local wedding dress maker, Jeni.

I showed Jeni lots of photos of dresses I had tried on and we discussed the various particular aspects that I had liked. The whole process took 6 months and it really was a leap of faith but I couldn't have been happier with the finished dress. It felt so special to have my own original, one-of-a-kind wedding dress.

I knew that I definitely wanted a veil (it's only once a girl gets to wear a veil!) but with all of the lace on the dress I decided on a very simple tulle, cathedral length veil which Jeni also made.

Tom bought me some gorgeous Rachel Simpson shoes for Christmas. I knew I didn't want traditional ivory bridal shoes and I wanted fairly low heels so I could wear them all day, so these cute, mint coloured, peep-toe shoes were perfect. My earrings were a gift from Tom on our wedding day and they were from Jenny Packham. In memory of my Grandmother, who passed away last year, I wore her brooch pinned to my bouquet.

I was a bit nervous about the flower crown and it took me ages to decide but both my Mum and my Grandmother had flower crowns and it really suited the theme so I took the plunge and ordered it. It was one of my best decisions!

Tom knew from the start he didn't want to go to hire the classic wedding suit. He wanted something that was more his style and a little bit different. We looked everywhere for tweed suits that would suit a summer wedding and eventually found some lovely suits in Next. Tom had the full 3-piece suit, the best man had the 2-piece suit and then the ushers just had the jacket over chocolate brown chinos. We then found Mama Wolf on Etsy. Sandeep made us some beautiful handmade ties, bow-ties and pocketchiefs from some Liberty fabric we found on the website which went perfectly with the suits.

I bought Tom some cufflinks from Mulberry as a wedding gift. And we also gave all the Groomsmen a gift of a handmade, personalised leather hipflask which was another Etsy find, Gx2homegrown. The brogue shoes finished off the look.

I had always wanted my wedding reception in my parent's garden so that was an easy decision and to be honest, so was deciding to get married in the village church. We also hired a marquee from Advanced Marquees to host the wedding breakfast and the evening entertainment. We were very lucky that my parents were happy to welcome 150 guests into the house and garden and it was so special and personal to have the reception at the family home.

We didn't have a clear theme at the beginning but what emerged over time was a rustic, garden party with a sunset colour scheme which tied into the wedding being on summer solstice. We have lots of creative family and friends who very kindly offered to help with all the little touches.

We chose a local florist, Foxgloves & Roses, and Nicola did a wonderful job of translating my many Pinterest boards into beautiful bouquets, buttonholes and flower crowns that perfectly suited our style. Two family friends kindly offered to arrange the flowers for the church and the marquee so Nicola provided us with a range of wholesale flowers that would match my bouquet and the buttonholes. I particularly loved the coral charm peonies!

My Dad made wooden tree slices for the centerpieces and on them we had a mix of cut glass vases that I had bought from charity shops, jam jars, small terracotta pots, milk bottles and silver mercury tea light holders. The table plan was 11 terracotta pots planted with bedding plants, luggage tags tied around the pots with the table numbers on and lollipop sticks with people's names written on them stuck into the soil. The plant pots were placed on Tom's Grandpa's wooden stepladder and old crates at the entrance to the marquee.

There were so many little decorative touches that I wanted and so I roped everyone in! My sister made the hessian bunting, Tom's cousins made the coloured bunting, a family friend painted the 110 individual pebbles for name settings, Tom painted all of the signs from old crates and my parents grew 4 pots of sweet peas to have in the corners of the marquee. One of the biggest statement pieces were the 6 3ft balloons which I ordered from Richard at Balloontastic.

I wanted my Bridesmaids to wear dresses that they liked and were comfortable in, and being my sisters I knew they wouldn't hold back on their opinions! I found their dresses by pure luck on eBay. Lots of people have asked if they were made by my dress maker but they were Zara dresses from a few seasons ago! I was so pleased with the dresses and think they both looked beautiful. They wore brown leather wedges and had pink roses in their hair.

The flower girls dresses were from Monsoon and had little flower crowns similar to mine but they didn't last very long! Tom also made them 2 little heart signs to carry down the aisle which said "Here Comes The Bride" - so sweet!

Both Tom and I have agreed that the service was our favourite part of the day. I will never forget walking into the church and seeing all of our family and friends and then Tom beaming at the end of the aisle. It was so special to have everyone there to witness our vows to each other.

As we were getting married in a church we had 3 marriage preparation sessions with our vicar and these were really interesting and made us reflect on the significance of what we were doing. It is so easy to get carried away with planning all of the other parts of the day that I think it was good to have these moments where we really thought about the reason why we were doing it all and to remind us that the service was the most important part of the day.

We had 3 hymns and 2 readings - Tom's Grandma read 'Sonnets from the Portuguese 43: How do I love thee?' by Elizabeth Barrett Browning and my Mum read 1 Corinthians 13:4-13. During the signing of the register one of my best friend's, Alex Oliver, sang Ellie Goulding's 'How Long Will I Love You?' and Tom Odell's 'Grow Old With Me' - we were all in tears!

After the service we walked from the church down to my parent's house and when we got there Hedgerow Fizz (Prosecco & elderflower cordial) and canapés were served. During this drinks reception we had two female musicians sing acoustically with their guitars while we said hello to our guests and had some of the more formal photos.

Our first dance was at 7pm and then an old friend Gary Coates DJ'd until 9pm and then The Daggers came on. This band was recommended to us both by my younger sister and our vicar so I knew they must be good. They certainly lived up to their reputation and kept the dance floor packed until midnight!

Finding a good, reasonably priced caterer proved quite difficult. And so Tom and I were so pleased when we found Clifford Brown Catering. I think Tom's favourite part of the wedding planning was the food tasting we did with Clifford Brown!

We had a range of canapés served when we got back from the church, such as Roasted Butternut and Goat's Cheese Risotto Balls with Paprika Mayo Dip and Loch Fyne Smoked Salmon Crostini with Fresh Horseradish Cream, Caviar and Dill. At 3pm we then sat down for a cold-fork buffet which perfectly suited our summer wedding. Our wedding cake was the pudding and was served with fresh fruit and cream. We were so lucky to have a family friend who is an excellent cake baker and she offered to make our fabulous wedding cake. I loved the extravagance of the 5-tiers but then the simplicity of the classic Victoria sponge. For the evening food we had a hog roast.

I think I looked at every photographer based in the South of England! There are so many good photographers all with slightly different styles, packages and prices. I scoured all of the big UK wedding blogs for photographers who did natural, beautiful photos and were in my budget. Tom and I even had a scoring system - so geeky! Two of my best friends are wedding photographers and they strongly recommended that we have two photographers. We found Kari on The Love Lust List.

Not only were her pictures lovely but in her standard package she included a second photographer - perfect! Little did we know then that her assistant Aga, was equally fantastic. Kari and Aga captured our day perfectly. Someone said to me when we started planning that most things you spend money on is just for the day but the photos are forever and so it is one thing you shouldn't scrimp on. Kari's photographs were worth every penny.

A videographer seemed like a real luxury but a couple of my friends had said to me that not having one for their wedding was their biggest regret. Again we struggled to find a videographer that both suited our style and budget. Luckily we stumbled across Family Creative who were very flexible over their package and provided us with a video that will make sure I never forget the happiest day of my life!

I can't really take credit for any of the ideas above; they were all stolen from wedding blogs, like RMW, or Pinterest! They are the best way of figuring out your theme and getting some really unusual ideas that will wow your guests and make it a memorable day. For me, it wasn't just about Tom and I, I wanted my guests to have a really fun day - as a thank you for all their love and support over the years.

Be brave enough to ignore all the "wedding rules", like your Bridesmaids shouldn't wear white! I got a lot of raised eyebrows when telling people about our wedding plans but Tom and I stuck to our guns and I'm so pleased we did.

Lastly - enjoy the planning process, it is as much part of the wedding as the day itself and Tom and I had lots of fun doing it together. Tom's comment: Let your fiancé indulge as she will only do this once!
