The Perfect Romantic Italian Garden Dinner Party.

The Perfect Romantic Italian Garden Dinner Party.

Marcelle and Joe's wedding is a little bit blinking special. Set amongst the beautiful surroundings of Borgo Santo Pietro in Tuscany, this beautiful twosome partied on down until the dawn began to rise the next day.

For me, this wedding is completely refreshing. Marcelle chose to forgo the traditional wedding dress style in favour of a super sleek and contemporary creation from Tom Ford accessorised only by a glamorous wrist cuff and off-white bouquet. Just wait until you see the architectural back detailing on her frock!

And that's not the only thing that has me swooning. Ever the enthusiast for well designed table settings, this Tuscan affair has me reaching for the 'Pin It' button. There are candles and herbs and rustic table runners and it all works so beautifully yet so cost-effectively too.

And the guests...well if the photos at the end of the night are anything to go by, then it's clear that they had a darned good time!

Marcelle The Bride: Our wedding was captured effortlessly by Divine Day Photography. We hoped to create the perfect romantic garden dinner party filled with rustic, Tuscan chic and twinkling lights and delectable food.

My dress was simple elegance, something that I knew Joseph would like me in and that suited the occasion. I remember seeing Carolyn Bessette's (John F Kennedy's Jr's wife) dress when I was younger, her understated beauty spoke to me.

We always wanted to get married in Europe or New York; London wasn't an option. A weekend away allows for the wedding party to create friendships and more meaningful memories. We chose Tuscany as we've both spent time living in Italy and because we got engaged in Florence.

I fell in love with the venue - Borgo Santo Pietro - the first time online and fell even deeper when we visited. It is an outstanding boutique property that captures all that is good about the Italian way of life - the perfect bohemian boutique escape that was all ours for three days. It allowed us to have a garden party on the Saturday, and every aspect of the wedding was held outdoors: the ceremony, reception, dinner, dancing, and after party!

Music was an important part of the wedding - Joseph has been collecting 1000's of records for the past 20 years. We didn't want a wedding band, and The Baker Brothers have released their own albums, tour internationally and are being remixed by YamWho and Ashley Beedle, so were the perfect choice for the live experience. We danced to two hours of funk and disco!

Our first dance took place under the moonlight to a Chaka Khan cover of 'Ain't Nobody' by J Thompson that mixed in to the original Chaka version at 'I make my wish upon a star and hope this night will last forever.'
