Gabi's Rustic Luxe Bride's Diary on B.LOVED Entry #1 | BLOVED Blog

In 2014 we followed the story of real life bride Danielle from proposal to her (two!) beautiful weddings in Somerset and South Africa. With the launch of the new look blog this week, I decided we could do better. In fact FOUR TIMES better, as for 2015 I am absolutely thrilled to have four beautiful brides to be sharing their wedding planning journey's with you! Whilst of course all our ladies fit our luxe + lovely look, they each have their own individual styles, so between them all I'm sure you'll discover plenty of inspiration, ideas and get lots of advice for planing your day whatever your wedding style. You'll find them right here every Tuesday morning, so do drop in to catch up on their latest news. This month we're hearing the proposal stories - all utterly romantic of course!

Taking the plunge first is our Rustic Luxe Bride... but I don't want to give away too much so it's over to Gabi for more -

**Hello** B.LOVED readers, I am super excited to be an official B.LOVED bride and look forward to sharing my planning journey with you all.

My fiancé Chris and I are getting married on the 23 rd of May 2015 so we have just over 6 months to go...eeek! I cannot believe how quickly the past year being engaged has flown by and I know that the next six months will go by so fast and the day will be here before we know it. So far I have loved every minute of the planning and as the day approaches at record speed I am torn between wanting the day to be here and officially become Mrs Sheen and also wanting time to slow down so I can savour every moment of being engaged!

Going back to the beginning with 'our story'. Chris popped the question five days before my 30 th birthday on the 10 th of October 2013, it was like any normal day I returned home from work expecting to have a normal night in only to be greeted by Chris insisting that I sit down and watch a video he had made for my birthday. Despite him being dressed smartly (even though he should have been out playing football) I didn't think anything of it. I sat down and as the video he had made started to play on our big screen the words 'Now that you are turning 30 here are 30 things I love about you' scrolled down, what followed were thirty eccentricities of mine that Chris loves - everything from my ability to only ever consume half a cup of tea, and the fact that I eat popcorn like its going out of fashion, to my patience putting up with Chris' fanatical football watching and my home interiors obsession that has lead me to paint everything we own white and grey The video ended with Chris getting on one knee and presenting the most beautiful ring I had ever seen (although I couldn't quite see it through the tears!). I was absolutely shell shocked and although we had talked a lot about marriage I had no idea he would propose when he did. I absolutely love our engagement story and that Chris chose to propose at our home where we are so happy and means so much to us, I am so grateful that I have the video to watch back on and will treasure for years to come.

So that is 'our story' After stating that I was going to enjoy some time just 'being engaged' before throwing myself straight into wedding planning, I proceeded to find our venue within approximately a week - whoops! So next month I will fill you in on the venue hunt.

Working in the wedding industry - running Sweetpea PR - has made the planning interesting...It has been beneficial as I know so many fab suppliers, but has also made decision making tricky as I am exposed to so many amazing ideas and am struggling not to change my mind on a daily basis!

I look forward to sharing our journey and filling you in on our venue hunt and revealing more on our wedding 'rustic luxe' theme next month! Gabi x
