Sublime Chateau Wedding Venues France | Fly Away Bride

via

We come across so many beautiful venues here at Fly Away Bride and love nothing more than sharing the ones that stand out the most. Today we're looking at three gorgeous chateau wedding venues in France, each of which we've featured in the last few months. If you're searching for your perfect destination wedding venue, one of the best ways to really get a feel for a venue is by having a look at past weddings that have been held there. We advice searching the web for as many as you can- ask the venue if they know of any that have been featured on any wedding blogs, or photographers who have shot weddings there and who have them displayed on their own site. You won't regret it!

Chateau Soulac is one of the most beautiful wedding venues we've come across- just take a look at this wedding we featured here. Located in the Bordeaux region of southwest France, the venue is within an hour's drive of both Bergerac and Bordeaux airports. The chateau can be hired for exclusive use with a minimum rental of 4 nights, can accommodate 22 people on site, and has a maximum capacity of 130 for wedding receptions. There are quite a few large entertaining spaces within the main building including a barrel vaulted winter dining room and summer dining space with conservatory doors. Ceremonies can be held either in one of these or outside in the beautiful gardens (which also is an option for an outdoor reception space.) There is a walled swimming pool and tennis court within the grounds to keep guests busy. This chateau only hosts 6 weddings a year, so if it takes your fancy why not shoot off an enquiry!

A fairytale style castle complete with turrets, expansive grounds and a flower donned gazebo, Chateau de Challain is situated in the Loire Valley of northwest France, half and hour from the town of Angers. The nearest large airport is Nantes which is an hour away. Large sash windows ensuring there are many bright rooms for 'getting ready' shots inside, and the chateau also has some very opulent, glamourous areas such as the drawing room that are perfect for photos. This is a very popular chateau for weddings in France with a wedding planner available on site. For more photos check out this styled shoot we featured which was based at the chateau.

This chateau is more of a beautiful country manor than a chateau in the "castle" sense (both attributed meanings are used for the French word). Located in a valley in the heart of the beautiful Dordogne region of south-west France, there is a timeless unassuming beauty about this venue. A stable of horses roam the grounds which consist of 62 acres of park and gardens. The chateau can accommodate 35 guests on site and offers exclusive use packages for weddings of up to 80 people. For more photos stay tuned as we'll be featuring a styled shoot at the chateau on Wednesday this week!
