Natural & Pretty Pastel Blues & Pinks Beach Hut Wedding

Natural & Pretty Pastel Blues & Pinks Beach Hut Wedding

via

Lianne and Tom really wanted a beach wedding and chose the fantastic beach hut at Beach weddings Bournemouth to get married back on the 13th July 2014. They went for a fun pastel colour scheme with pretty and clean blues and pinks throughout.

Tom looked dapper in a blue suit and bridesmaid Emily looked lovely in lavender, which alongside the pink and blue florals really pulled everything together perfectly. There was sweet seaside décor, with shells and driftwood plus a fab VW Campervan.

Lianne wore a beautiful lace gown by Maggie Sottero with a long veil and pumps. Stunning.

Thanks so so much to Anna Morgan Photography for sharing these lovely images today.

THE PROPOSAL | Tom surprised me and proposed on my Birthday - I had been out having a pamper day beforehand and when I got home there was a heart shaped box waiting and inside a big cookie iced with the words 'Will you marry me?' It was a really fun proposal and we celebrated that night at my birthday party!

THE VISION | A relaxed and fun day joined by close family and friends. We loved the idea of a Beach wedding with a natural feel and using pretty pastel colours in the decoration.

THE PLANNING PROCESS | We planned our wedding in around 10 months. Once we decided to get married at the beach it was easy to find inspiration. I spent time looking online and at magazines to get ideas. Pinterest was my best friend! We made lots of lists which we kept adding to as we thought of things we needed to do! One of my friends got married a few months before us so we were able to chat about ideas and go through the experience together which was really nice. My sister and I spent many weekends having fun shopping, at hair trials and practising our make up for the day!

THE VENUE | We got married and had our drinks reception with Beach Weddings Bournemouth. We then went on to a local restaurant to relax and have some lovely food with our guests.

THE DRESS & ACCESSORIES | 'Sheena' by Maggie Sottero. I chose a full length veil to complement the dress which surprised me as originally I didn't plan to wear a veil but when I tried it on with the dress I fell in love with it! I kept the rest of my accessories simple with some comfy Ivory Satin flats (Rainbow club) and little pearl studs in my ears.

FINDING THE DRESS | I knew I was looking for a classic and elegant dress. I went shopping with my mum and Sister and we found the perfect one on our first shopping trip! I loved that it had a bit of a vintage look and the lace detailing was so pretty, It was the fifth dress I tried and once I had it on I didn't want to take it off!

GROOM'S ATTIRE | Tom wanted something vibrant and chose a slim fitting blue suit with his best man. He wore a co-ordinating silver grey tie and fun Beach Hut cufflinks to tie in with our theme

THE READINGS & MUSIC | We wanted to keep the ceremony simple and beautiful, we chose the Apache Love poem read by our best man Adam as we loved the sentiment. I walked down the aisle to a lovely soft instrumental from a favourite film of mine. Tom and I walked back down the aisle after the ceremony to' Here comes the Sun' by the Beatles which was perfect as the sun was beaming!

BEAUTIFUL BRIDESMAIDS | My Sister Emily. She wore a lovely pastel blue/lavender prom style dress from Monsoon which looked amazing on her. We had loads of fun shopping for the dress and chose it together so that we would both be happy.

THE FLOWERS | Our florist helped us choose flowers for a vintage and elegant look. We chose Ivory, pale pinks and blues as our colour scheme. My bouquet had Roses, hydrangeas, astrantia, astilbe and eucalyptus. All the flowers were absolutely stunning.

THE CAKE | A fun, pale blue beach themed cake with a Beach hut on top!

YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER | Anna Morgan Photography. Anna was really lovely to work with, she made us feel so relaxed and when we saw the photographs I welled up as the feel of the day had been captured perfectly.

THE DETAILS & DÉCOR | We had our wedding ceremony on the Beach standing under a beautiful driftwood arch and then signing the register in the Wedding Hut (a pretty beach hut right on the sand!). We had beautiful pastel flower displays in the Marquee on the beach for our ceremony with lots of foliage so they had a really lovely natural look.

We hired a pale blue VW camper van as our wedding transport which was really fun! We had Ice creams served on the beach as well as bubbly during our drinks reception which we and our guests loved. Tom ate two!

I used glass jars, seashells and lace ribbon to make table decorations for the Restaurant and Tom was brilliant at making the paper windmills to go in them!

We had rock sweets and beach themed candles in cute little brown paper bags wedding favours.

THE HONEYMOON | A few days in Lulworth, Dorset in a lovely B&B. It was the perfect place to wind down after all the celebrations.

MEMORABLE MOMENTS | Seeing all our guests smiling as I walked down the aisle with my Dad, it was a really lovely and emotional experience.

Being on a beautiful beach and being able to dip our toes in the sea on our wedding day-an amazing feeling!

Sitting in the camper van on the way to our Reception beaming at each other and thinking 'we did it!'

Listening to the thoughtful and funny speeches in a room surrounded by people we love

ADVICE FOR OTHER COUPLES | Just to really enjoy the day and try to take everything in as it goes by in a flash! Try not to be stressed out and have the wedding that you want as all the people you love will just want you to be happy!
