It brings me such joy to inspiration created by my friends around the world. Naomi, owner of At First Blush & Co. is a luxury wedding planner based in SoCal. We first connected almost four years ago when I was just starting out as a wedding blogger, and her love and support continues to this day as both our businesses grow and succeed. It's kind hearts like this that make the wedding industry such a joy to be a part of! As well as planning stunning events, Naomi is also a super stylist, teaming up with photographer Kurt Boomer to create this stunning winter inspiration shoot for Munaluchi Bride, I'm so thrilled to share it with you today! While the inspiration may be Californinan in style, the rich hues of red and orange with hints of gold would make the perfect combination for a warm winter wedding, or Christmas day tablescape.

The inspiration for this wedding editorial are the majestic sunsets that blaze across the evening sky of California's most southern coastline in a range of colors from amber to crimson red. With the sky set ablaze in such passionate colors I knew this would be a vibrant yet luxurious "wedding" palette.

I often look to nature to create a seamless look for clients that want to incorporate the beauty of their venues or homes natural surroundings. Instead of working against it we work with it and use it as a part of the overall design. With the sunset as our muse we stayed true and incorporated key elements to many aspects of the design. One of my favorite design detail of this editorial is the bridal bouquet designed by Oak and the Owl. The vibrant and fiery blooms perfectly mimic the various hues of the Southern California as the sun begins to set.

My design preference is chic minimalism mixed in with simple every day glamour. For this particular shoot, instead of crowding the table with plates, glassware, and other distracting trinkets simple yet impactful details where chosen. If less is more is your mantra, think of making the ordinary extra-ordinary. For example, chic metallic gold placemats were laid horizontally from one place setting to the other to create a one of a kind table runner. Mixing vintage and contemporary pieces together is always one of my favorite design challenges. Similar hues and/or shapes can create a cohesive look when mixing the vintage with the new and please do not be afraid to mix textures! Doing so will give your own table - whether for your wedding or another celebration - the "designed by a stylist" look and feel.
