You finally took the plunge and got those face-framing fringes you've been contemplating for so long. But, you didn't exactly take the harsh realities of winter weather into consideration once those pretty bangs made it to your face. Lucky for you, there are plenty of ways to keep them in place, so that they can weather the elements - rain, wind or shine!

Use a Headband for Stylish Hold

For those extra windy days, wearing your bangs back underneath a stylish headband is the way to go. Don't think grade school hairstyle or gym sweatband, there are grownup and chic ways to wear headbands!

Set Them Straight

The key to successfully weatherproofing your bangs is how you style them. Before blow-drying them straight or giving them a once-over with your flat iron, use a heat-protectant smoothing cream like L'Oréal Paris Advanced Hairstyle SLEEK IT Frizz Vanisher Cream to fight frizz and flyaways. Then, lock them in place with a strong hold, super shield hairspray like Kérastase Laque Noire so that they won't budge a bit!

Be a Beanie Babe

Mastering hat hair has its perks! Keep your bangs in place with a super cute beanie! Since the base of your hat sits just above your bangs, the weight will keep your feathered fringes in place. Just give them a little spritz of your favorite texturizing spray (we love Garnier Fructis De-Constructed Texture Tease) to give your bangs some hold and texture.

Keep an Arsenal of Bobby Pins

If you have bangs, you must have bobbies! Always be prepared and keep a few on hand in case your hair decides to misbehave. For extra hold, spray your pins with hairspray or dry shampoo and secure your bangs back with a little bobby pin hair art!

Braid Your Bangs Back

While they look fab, rocking those bangs front and center day in and day out can start to feel repetitive. Simply braid them back to the sides and pin them for a bohemian beauty feel or try French weaving them into a modern milkmaid braid.

Go for a Pompadour

Because we love volume and it's the perfect way to ward off messy winter weather hair! Use Redken Thickening Lotion 06 All Over Body Builder on damp hair and blowdry in sections. Once your locks are dry, give your roots a quick tease and pull back a wide section of hair from the top of your head (bangs included). Secure with bobby pins and finish off with Garnier Fructis Full Control Anti-Humidity Aerosol Hair Spray.

If you're thinking of joining the bang-wagon (or getting off of it), here's how to:
