Foodie & Nature Inspired Museum & Farm Wedding

Foodie & Nature Inspired Museum & Farm Wedding

WWW readers Laura and Luke organise food festivals, so their own wedding as you can imagine had the finest selection of Dorset foods all packaged up into delightful hampers. Lovely.

They chose to marry at the Dorset County Museum due to Laura's family connection followed by a fun farm reception.

There were pretty blooms, a wonderful ceremony which included a ring warming, nature inspired details and bridesmaids in pastel dresses. I adore the boys in braces and Laura's flower hair band too.

Thanks so much to Lara Jane Thorpe Photography for sharing these images with us.

THE PROPOSAL | In San Sebastian Spain on a surfing holiday.

THE VISION | Laura's uncle was a renowned Archaeologist especially around the Southwest, so Laura had a lot of fond memories and connections with the Dorset museum, it seemed quite fitting that they had their humanist wedding in such a unique setting.

The reception was all about friends, music and celebration amazing local food. Laura and Luke in there spare time run and organise food festivals, one of which was only 2 weeks after their wedding. These food festivals work with lots of fabulous local food so much of this was mirrored in their wedding. The wedding couple along with friends and family produced the most amazing food hampers, full of the most gorgeous Dorset food (breads, cooked meats, cheese chutney, wines) These were then delivered to each table for everyone to share. Many of the music acts that appear at the festivals are close friends of theirs and played at the wedding too. Stealing Whiskey and The leggomen.

MEMORABLE MOMENTS | The ring warming on the ribbon at the ceremony which was so wonderful to see everyone wish love and happiness on the rings as they made their way to the bride and groom.
