The Dizzy Daisy flower boutique brought the trendsetting elegant rustic wedding theme to life with original bouquet designs, winter wedding flowers, charming but simplistic centerpieces and ceremony site décor. Inspiration comes from embracing the cool frosty hues of winter, the gorgeous seasonal flowers that only nature can provide and creating tablescapes and decor that are both soft as snow, yet rustic in nature, all evoking the perfect winter vibe.

We created this wedding by following a few simple guidelines to capturing the whole vision:

1. The Perfect Palette

Pleasing to the eye, color is responsible for setting the tone for a rustic theme. Lighter delicate colors awaken the sense and wonder of winter. Winter rustic means color hues of blue grey skies, icy greens and vanilla creams all found amongst the smallest boutonniere to the largest strand of fresh garland.

2. Don't be Afraid to Mix it up

The look of a winter rustic bridal bouquet can be mixed and muted by combining several different types of unique flowers, matching White dahlias, Lisianthus and spray roses, with a pop of Blue delphinium and accented with seeded eucalyptus and dusty miller. The result: the bride holding a fragrant winter woodsy wonderland in the palm of her hand.

3. One Simple Sentiment Says it all

The groom's boutonniere complements the bridal bouquet with its rustic charm, which features one specific flower with deep meaning to the couple. The main bloom featured is the innocence of a pure white rose (found abundantly in the bride's bouquet) and combined with a tiny stem of the Blue delphinium, delicately wrapped with thin strands of twine -- masculine, yet simplistic, rustic, yet crisp.

4. Traditional Meets Modern

Tablescapes tell the story. Intermingle and intertwine for an eclectic combination of traditional found amongst the glass vases and modern represented by the grey washed wooden containers. Special touches and embellishments such as the moss wrap and birch wood coasters create interest and ambiance for the rustic theme. Throw away the uniform look; let each table have its own unique style!

5. Mixed Media Décor

Take rustic to the next level. Decorate outside the box. We combined different textures, fabrics and metals -- White Gerbera Daisies and moss, rugged tin vases topped with frosty bouquets -- all reminiscent of the countryside and wonder of nature -- and popping the ceremony site while still achieving a refined yet rough edged look.
