10 Sensational Crop Top Wedding Dresses

When I first heard about this latest trend you could color me cynical. Crop top wedding dresses? Scandal! I just couldn't imagine a version of a crop top wedding dress that would look very matrimonial, let alone elegant. However, I've totally changed my tune after seeing these 10 stunners. And, spoiler alert, there are 2 equally enchanting faux options at the bottom of this post in case you don't want to actually bare your waist on your walk down the aisle.

This trend isn't all about the skintight and minimal. It actually works beautifully with flowy skirts and relaxed styling. Above, you will positively float in the processional wearing this easy, ethereal gown.

Crop top wedding dresses also pair well with muted colors. Below, this blushy nude two-piece almost has a boho ballerina vibe. Complemented by beach waves and natural makeup, who thought a crop top wedding dress could be so unfussy? I love the sheer overlay with cap sleeves over the camisole.

Prefer tops with a bit more structure? Try a square neck with thick straps (above) or a thicker fabric, like a sturdy eyelet lace if you need to conceal a more supportive undergarment. As an added bonus, you could find ways to use both of these options in your everyday wardrobe.

Not at all boho? And don't believe you should have to give up full-on glamour to wear this trend? You aren't alone, and these va-va-voom options may be right up your alley. Above, use a tropical destination wedding as an excuse to wear a lacy, delicate camisole with teeny-tiny spaghetti straps paired with a slinky skirt. The warmer temps will definitely bother you less in this gown (above) than if you wore something more traditional.

Below, if you are going to go crop top, you might as well be bold about it, right? This belted mermaid skirt blends style and sex appeal with this asymmetrical lacy crop top with wide sleeves. Definitely not for the faint of heart.

Go Art Deco glam with this bustier crop top and silk corded skirt (below). The general rule with this trend is that you should show off skin selectively. Because the spacing between the top and the skirt is so small, this shoulder-baring style doesn't seem too over-the-top. Make a chic statement in a sunset photo by borrowing his tuxedo jacket to throw over your shoulders.

Combine trends with this crop top dress featuring a statement back and heavy lace embellishments (below).

For you modern brides, check out these two options above. On the left, the jacket styling and voluminous, slightly drop waist skirt of this two-piece are so chic (I admit, this dress is definitely my favorite of the bunch). If you are headed to the courthouse for a civil ceremony, take crop top to daytime with this slim tea-length skirt and lace illusion neckline (above, right)

But maybe you don't want to go full-crop. We get it. You can try an illusion camisole like the one on the dress above. The cropped overlay has all the style of this trend, without the skin. You can also use strategic cutouts, like this sleek option below.
